The 100 Recap: 7.14 ‘A Sort of Homecoming’

They arrive at the second dawn bunker. Bill disappears using some form of technology. Gaia enters the room with a torch. She explains to them how she got there. When the guard attacked her at the stone they both fell through it, landing up in the Blodreina pit. They fought until she won. A few days later Octavia and the others showed up. Gaia escorts them to the others. They discover that earth is survivable once more. The first thing they ask Clarke is, where is Bellamy? She tells them that he is dead…and she was the one who killed him. She tells that she had to. She tells them what happened with Madi and her sketchbook and once she gets it all out she breaks down. Octavia walks over to her and tells her that she understands what she had to do. They hug and she tells her that that wasn’t Bellamy. Echo tells her that they lost the Bellamy they knew a long time ago. She tells her that it wasn’t her that killed him but rather Bill Cadogan and his beliefs.

Sheidheda is in the white room, seemingly healed from his gut wound and Bill is at his bedside, flipping through the sketchbook. He tries to bargain with Bill but he doesn’t cave so he tells him who’s book it is. But he tells him that getting to Madi won’t be easy because Clarke will protect her at all costs. He offers himself for the mission, reasoning that he knows her better than most because of the flame.

Miller is upset and confides in Jackson that he won’t be able to forgive Bellamy now that he’s dead. Meanwhile the rest explore the bunker searching out food and a place to sleep while they figure out their next move. Madi is upset that Clarke killed Bellamy for her. Now Clarke has to live with that decision and Madi doesn’t like how it was for her. They fight and Madi leaves to wander the rest of the bunker. The lights come on courtesy of Raven. She hears some distant music and she follows it to Gabriel playing the piano. Jordan and Hope are dancing and Nylah is in the back getting more and more drunk. Jordan and Hope share a look and she runs off. Gabriel tells him to go after her and he does while he offers to teach Madi the piano.

Now that they know that Earth is once more habitable Murphy insists on going back to Sanctum to bring the others here. He claims it to be the right thing to do especially when many of them used to live there already and fled when they couldn’t stay.

Indra finds Octavia outside and she tells her that she doesn’t want to go back inside, plagued by her actions as Blodreina. She tells Octavia that they were all Blodreina and any of the monsters that are still there, they will face together.

A bridge opens in the pit with Gaia, Octavia and Indra standing watch, but nothing visible comes through before it closes. Octavia goes to Clarke asking her where Madi is, then they go looking, providing the perfect opportunity for Sheidheda to sneak behind them. He’s the one who came through the stone in a suit that kept his presence and identity a secret.

A very drunk Nylah finds Echo. Echo tells her that her name is actually Ash and how she never got the chance to tell Bellamy. Nylah hands over the liquor bottle and she tells Echo how she was named after an azgedian because she’s part azgeda.

Raven and Emori work on fixing the helmet to get back to Sanctum. Murphy leaves when he hears Hope crying in the hallway. They talk briefly before Jordan catches up to her and takes over. He tells her that he thought they were having fun when they were dancing. He’s not so good at reading social cues due to how he was raised. They bond over that and she tells him that she was having fun, but then she started to feel guilty. Then she offers her hand for them to continue their dance right there in the hallway. It’s brief as Clarke and Octavia interrupt shouting Madi’s name. Hope tells them that she’s in the rec room but Sheidheda slams the door, locking them in, having now found his target. He stabs Gabriel through the chest at the piano before pursuing Madi. When he catches up to her he tells her that he’s not bringing her back like Bill wanted because he doesn’t want to transcend. He wants to rule. He tries to kill her with a knife when Gabriel intervenes, he tells her that Gaia and Indra are at the pits and she runs. Sheidheda fights with Gabriel then leaves him (having won) and finds them at the pits. Indra is about to kill him after they defeat him in battle but then he reaches for his dagger and stabs himself in the gut once more bringing him back to Sanctum.

They find Gabriel bleeding in the rec room. Jackson and Miller come in and Jackson tries to save him but it’s no good. Gabriel assures them that this is what he wants. Hope is sobbing, holding up his head. Madi runs to Gaia and Indra after witnessing Gabriel’s death. Clarke follows, seeing Madi stab herself with that same knife Sheidheda used to send him back to Sanctum. She’s done having others die onher behalf, she tells Clarke that she loves her and then she disappears.

A bridge opens again, this time with a bomb. Miller grabs it right away and throws it behind a door and seals it just before it blows.

Emori runs out claiming to hear something, Murphy follows. Then the ceiling falls, separating them.
