Louise Gornall’s Under Rose-Tainted Skies was one of the first Young Adult novels released this year, and it has recently been confirmed that the novel has been optioned to become a film!
The debut novel centers around a seventeen-year-old girl named Norah who is battling sever agoraphobia and OCD, but trying to live as much as a normal life as possible. When Luke moves next door to Norah, a friendship sparks, but her mental illness says a big no to romance. Published in January by Clarion, Gornall’s novel has won significant praise by critics and readers for its depiction of Norah’s illness.
The book has been optioned by Character Seven, which was founded in 2016 by British TV and film executive Stephen Garrett, who has worked on The Night Manager and Life on Mars. Unfortunately this is the only movie news that has been released, but we hope the novel will be picked up and go into production!
