January sees FBI and 9-1-1 receive spin-off series, Party of Five gets a reboot and reimagined, Sir Patrick Stewart steps back into the role of Picard, and a woman hears peoples thoughts in the form of song in Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist.
As for books heading to the screen, Jeffery Deaver’s Lincoln Rhyme, Stephen King’s The Outsider, and Jane Austen’s Sanditon all receive television adaptations.
The month also sees the premiere of Deputy, AJ and the Queen, Everything’s Gonna Be Okay, Outmatched, and Ragnarok.
Deputy

FBI: Most Wanted
A high stakes drama that focuses on the Fugitive Task Force, which relentlessly tracks and captures the notorious criminals on the Bureau’s Most Wanted list. Starring Julian McMahon and Alana De La Garza. Premieres January 7th on CBS.
Party of Five
The reimagining of the beloved series will follow the five Acosta children as they navigate daily life struggles to survive as a family unit after their parents are suddenly deported back to Mexico. Premieres January 8th on Freeform.
Lincoln Rhyme
A retired forensic criminologist teams up with an ambitious young detective to help capture some of the most dangerous criminals in America. Starring Russell Hornsby and Arielle Kebbel. Premieres January 10th on NBC.
AJ and the Queen

Sanditon
The first ever television adaptation of Jane Austen’s unfinished novel, Sanditon. Starring Rose Williams and Theo James. Premieres January 12th on PBS’s Masterpiece.
The Outsider
Based on Stephen King’s novel, ‘The Outsider’ sees investigators confounded over an unspeakable crime that’s been committed. Starring Ben Mendelsohn and Cynthia Erivo. The series premieres January 12th on HBO.
Everything’s Gonna Be Okay
A neurotic 25-year-old must help raise his two teenage half-sisters. Premieres January 16th on Freeform.
911: Lone Star
FOX’s #1 drama, 9-1-1, expands its reach to the city of Austin, TX, with its first-ever new instalment. Starring Rob Lowe and Liv Tyler. Premieres January 19th on FOX.
Star Trek: Picard
