Next stop ahead The Twilight Zone. CBS All Access’ upcoming reimagining of the original series, which premiered in 1959, will debut in early 2019. Jordan Peele will serve as host and narrator of the new series, a role made famous by creator Rod Serling, who used socially conscious storytelling to explore the human condition and culture of the times.

When the project was announced back in December 2017, Peele stated in a press release that “too many times this year it’s felt we were living in a twilight zone, and I can’t think of a better moment to reintroduce it to modern audiences.”

The Twilight Zone is produced by CBS Television Studios in association with Jordan Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions and Simon Kinberg’s Genre Films. Jordan Peele and Simon Kinberg serve as executive producers along with Win Rosenfeld, Audrey Chon, Glen Morgan, Carol Serling, Rick Berg and Greg Yaitanes.

Starring Chris O’Dowd (Bridesmaids), Greg Kinnear (As Good As It Gets), Kumail Nanjiani (Silicon Valley), John Cho (Star Trek), Allison Tolman (Fargo), Taissa Farmiga (The Nun), Adam Scott (Parks and Recreation), Ginnifer Goodwin (Once Upon A Time), Seth Rogen, Jacob Tremblay (Room), DeWanda Wise (She’s Gotta Have It), Steven Yeun (The Walking Dead), Zazie Beetz (Deadpool 2), Jessica Williams (Fantastic Beasts), Lucinda Dryzek (Holby City), Kumail Nanjiani (The Big Sick), Sanaa Lathan (The Affair), Amy Landecker (Doctor Strange), Jefferson White (Yellowstone), and Jonathan Whitesell (The 100).

The Twilight Zone premieres April 1st on CBS All Access with two episodes released initially with the remainder airing every Thursday. A total of 10 episodes will make up the first season.
