How I Met Your Mother‘s Cobie Smulders takes the lead in ABC’s new series Stumptown.
Based on the graphic novel series, Stumptown follows Dex Parios–a strong, assertive and sharp-witted army veteran with a complicated love life, gambling debt and a brother to take care of in Portland, Oregon. Her military intelligence skills make her a great PI, but her unapologetic style puts her in the firing line of hardcore criminals and not quite in alliance with the police.
Starring Cobie Smulders (How I Met Your Mother) as Dex Parios, Jake Johnson (New Girl) as Grey McConnell, Tantoo Cardinal (Frontier) as Sue Lynn Blackbird, Cole Sibus as Ansel Parios, Adrian Martinez (The Blacklist: Redemption) as Tookie with Camryn Manheim (Ghost Whisperer)as Lieutenant Cosgrove and Michael Ealy (The Following) as Detective Miles Hoffman.
Writer Jason Richman produces the series with Ruben Fleischer and David Bernad, Greg Rucka (author of the Stumptown graphic novel series), Matthew Southworth and Justin Greenwood (illustrators of the Stumptown graphic novel series).
Stumptown premieres September 25th on ABC.
