Somehow it’s already February, but that also means there’s new movies coming your way! The month of February sees quite a lot of book-to-movie adaptations being released, including Emma, the sequel to Netflix’s To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before, a loose and modernised adaption of H.G. Wells’ The Invisible Man, Jack London’s Call of the Wild, and Jennifer Niven’s YA novel All The Bright Places is a new Netflix Original.

Birds of Prey: And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn

After splitting with the Joker, Harley Quinn joins superheroes Black Canary, Huntress and Renee Montoya to save a young girl from an evil crime lord. Starring Margot Robbie (Suicide Squad), Ewan McGregor (Moulin Rouge), and Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Scott Pilgrim vs. the World).

To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You

Lara Jean and Peter have just taken their relationship from pretend to officially official when another recipient of one of her old love letters enters the picture. Starring Lana Condor, Noah Centineo, Jordan Fisher (Rent: Live), and Ross Butler (Riverdale).

Jane Austen’s beloved comedy about finding your equal and earning your happy ending, is reimagined in this. Handsome, clever, and rich, Emma Woodhouse is a restless queen bee without rivals in her sleepy little town. In this glittering satire of social class and the pain of growing up, Emma must adventure through misguided matches and romantic missteps to find the love that has been there all along. Starring Anya Taylor-Joy (Split), Johnny Flynn (Lovesick), Josh O’Connor (The Crown), Tanya Reynolds (Sex Education), and Miranda Hart (Call The Midwife).

Sonic The Hedgehog

A cop in the rural town of Green Hills will help Sonic escape from the government who is looking to capture him. Starring Ben Schwartz (Parks and Recreation), Jim Carrey (Bruce Almighty), Tika Sumpter (mixed-ish), and James Marsden (X-Men).

Fantasy Island

The enigmatic Mr. Roarke, makes the secret dreams of his lucky guests come true at a luxurious but remote tropical resort. But when the fantasies turn into nightmares, the guests have to solve the island’s mystery in order to escape with their lives. Starring Maggie Q (Nikita), Lucy Hale (Pretty Little Liars), Michael Peña (Ant-Man), Portia Doubleday (Mr. Robot), and Ryan Hansen (Veronica Mars).

The Invisible Man

The Invisible Man is a loose and modern adaptation of H.G. Wells novel, The Invisible Man. When Cecilia’s abusive ex takes his own life and leaves her fortune, she suspects his death was a hoax. As a series of coincidences turn lethal, Cecilia works to prove that she is being hunted by someone nobody can see. Starring Elisabeth Moss (The Handmaid’s Tale), Oliver Jackson-Cohen (The Haunting of Hill House), and Aldis Hodge (City On A Hill).

Bloodshot

Based on the bestselling comic book, Vin Diesel stars as Ray Garrison, a soldier recently killed in action and brought back to life as the superhero Bloodshot by the RST corporation. With an army of nanotechnology in his veins, he’s an unstoppable force –stronger than ever and able to heal instantly. But in controlling his body, the company has sway over his mind and memories, too. Now, Ray doesn’t know what’s real and what’s not – but he’s on a mission to find out. Starring Vin Diesel (Fast & Furious), Sam Heughan (Outlander), and Eiza González (Baby Driver).

Call of the Wild

Based on the novel by Jack London, Buck is a big-hearted dog whose blissful domestic life gets turned upside down when he is suddenly uprooted from his California home and transplanted to the exotic wilds of the Alaskan Yukon in the 1890s. As the newest rookie on a mail-delivery dog sled team, Buck experiences the adventure of a lifetime as he ultimately finds his true place in the world. Starring Harrison Ford (Star Wars), Karen Gillian (Guardians of the Galaxy), and Dan Stevens (Beauty and the Beast 2017).

Downhill

Barely escaping an avalanche during a family ski vacation in the Alps, a married couple is thrown into disarray as they are forced to reevaluate their lives and how they feel about each other. Starring Will Ferrell (Anchorman), Julia Louis-Dreyfus (Seinfeld), and Mirando Otto (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina).

All The Bright Places

Based on the novel by Jennifer Niven, All The Bright Places follows the story of Violet and Theodore, who meet and change each other’s lives forever. As they struggle with the emotional and physical scars of their past, they discover that even the smallest places and moments can mean something. Starring Elle Fanning (Maleficent), Justice Smith (The Get Down), Alexandra Shipp (Love, Simon), and Keegan-Michael Key (Friends From College). Trailer yet to be released.
