Lost, love, and hope. The emotions of our mutants are all over the place and this rollercoaster of an episode does not really give us straight answers.
All we want to know first is, is Clarice really dead? Well maybe, maybe not. Until next week, this is still something that is free to be interpreted by the audience individually. Of course, Clarice’s, let’s call it disappearance until we know what really happened to her, is the hardest for John. This episode’s flashback shows Clarice and John two months ago, talking in the middle of the night. Clarice tells John that after running all her life she finally feels lucky even though she thinks she does not deserve to be.

Before Marcos and Reed are going to rescue Cate and Lauren who are surrounded by the police after they drove through a barricade, they go looking for John who still is in the same alley where Clarice teleported the Morlocks to and punches a wall repeatedly.
While Marcos tries to calm John and convince him to go home, Reed is taking a look around the neighbourhood and runs into Ted, Turner’s little helper. Reed’s powers are manifesting and before Ted can shoot him, he first grabs his gun and later touches him and Ted turns into a pile of dust.
Meanwhile, Turner starts to feel guilty and it seems that this time the guilt wins over his broken heart. He questions why Ryan would send the purifiers to a place where a lot of children are living. It is not said that these children would turn out to be “monsters” and “terrorists” when they grow up.

Sadly, we learn why Reeva wanted the purifiers to raid the tunnels because from there they can enter into a government building which is Reeva’s plan. In the next 24 hours, she wants to destroy as many government buildings as possible and bring the uprising to its peak.
While Lorna is looking for the perfect timing to leave the Inner Circle for good, Andy still believes in every word Reeva says. But Lorna cannot leave Andy behind especially because Reed begs her to bring his son home with her.

Lorna tells Andy what she discovered about Reeva. She still wants a mutant homeland but not like that. Not when it needs the Frost sisters to mind control people to believe in it. Andy is clearly confused and afraid that after what he did during his time in the Inner Circle he does not belong with his family anymore.

With the season finale next week there are a couple of questions which would be nice to get answers to. Now that Reed accepts his powers and wants to train them, I cannot stop thinking about the fact how great it would be if randomly Rogue would make an appearance and help him. After all, she went through a similar struggle and Anna Paquin, who played her in the X-Men movies, is Stephen Moyer’s wife.
One of the important ones for sure is Clarice. John says she fell through her portal when she got shot, which means she is trapped somewhere in the space-time continuum and probably too weak to open a new portal and go out of it. John still feels her and every time he tries to use his powers he only senses her. It could be that when she found her way back to John that we will see a new Blink with improved powers, stronger than before.

This episode saw a little bit of seeing a happy end, which I doubt will stay that way for long. Two families reunite. The Struckers have Andy back and Marcos has Lorna. Only Dawn is missing.

The episode ends with all of them being there for John and he forgives Lorna for turning her back on him. Seconds before, he calls for Blink and she answers. I bet with you that she will make her comeback in the season finale and surprise us all.
Now that Lorna and Andy “betrayed” Reeva she wants them dead. After all their participation had only a symbolic meaning because it would be so much better to build a new world with representatives from two legendary mutant families.
As much as I cannot wait for the season finale, I am also afraid what cliffhanger it also could bring. After all season three has still not be confirmed!
