ABC brings a new romantic dramedy to our screens with The Baker and the Beauty, which sees Nathalie Kelley (Dynasty and The Vampire Diaries) and Victor Rasuk (Lords of Dogtown and Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan) in the lead role.
Adapted from the Israeli romantic-comedy series Beauty and the Baker, ABC’s version follows Daniel Garcia who is working in the family bakery and doing everything that his loving Cuban parents and siblings expect him to do. But on a wild Miami night he meets Noa Hamilton, an international superstar and fashion mogul, and his life moves into the spotlight. Will this unlikely couple upend their lives to be together and pull their families into a culture clash?
The series stars Nathalie Kelley (Dynasty), Victor Rasuk (Lords of Dogtown), Carlos Gómez (Madam Secretary), Michelle Veintimilla (Gotham), Belissa Escobedo, Lisa Vidal (Being Mary Jane), David Del Rio (The Troop), and Dan Bucatinsky (Scandal).
The Baker and the Beauty premieres April 13th on ABC in the U.S. The series will also be available to stream on Stan in Australia.
