October brings the spooky and scary, and Hulu will be contributing this year with their original series, Light As A Feather.
An innocent game of “Light as a Feather, Stiff as a Board” goes wrong when the five teen girls who played start dying off in the exact way that was predicted, forcing the survivors to figure out why they’re being targeted – and whether the evil force hunting them down is one of their own.
The new series is an adaptation of Zoe Aarsen’s story Light as a Feather, Stiff as a Board originally published on Wattpad, the social networking site where authors can produce their own content.
“Light as a Feather is a captivating and unique story, with supernatural twists and thrills that readers all over the world have fallen in love with,” said Aron Levitz, Head of Wattpad Studios. “The story is another example of a Wattpad fan favorite that is perfect for adaptation and new life on another platform.”
Fleming executive produces and showruns alongside AwesomenessTV’s Jordan Levin, Shelley Zimmerman, Joe Davola and Brett Bouttier; Wattpad’s Aron Levitz and Eric Lehrman; and Grammnet’s Grammer, Tom Russo, Brian Sher and Stella Bulochnikov. Bloodlist’s Kailey Marsh is a co-executive producer.
Starring Liana Liberato (To The Bone) as McKenna, Haley Ramm (Chasing Life) as Violet, Ajiona Alexus (13 Reasons Why) as Candace, Brianne Tju (Scream) as Alex, Peyton List (Bunk’d) as Olivia, Dylan Sprayberry (Teen Wolf) as Henry, Jordan Rodrigues (Lady Bird) as Trey, Brent Rivera (Alexander IRL) as Issac, and Dorian Brown Pham (Wilfred) as Deb.
The full 10-episode series will hit Hulu on October 12th.
