New TV Shows To Watch In July 2019

Ready to find a new series to enjoy? Then you may find it amongst the new shows that are starting up in July!

Netflix has a few Originals coming your way with The Last Czars, which is part drama and part documentary about the Romanovs, Family Reunion, a new family comedy, Knights of the Zodiac: Saint Seiya, a new manga series, and Another Life, a new sci-fi drama.

As for what else is new, Pearson is the spin-off series to Suits and Pandora is another sci-fi drama on The CW. If you need some not-so great superheroes, The Boys is based on the best-selling comics by Garth Ennis, while Pennyworth follows a young Alfred Pennyworth. Lastly, the popular Four Weddings and A Funeral is being made into a television series created by Mindy Kaling.

The Last Czars

Netflix brings the Romanov family to the screen in their new Original series, The Last Czars, which is part documentary and part drama. The Last Czars premieres July 3rd on Netflix.

Family Reunion

Pandora
Set in the year 2199, a young woman who has lost everything finds a new life at Earth’s Space Training Academy where she learns to defend the galaxy from intergalactic threats. Starring Priscilla Quintana (Traffik), Noah Huntley (Free Rein), and Tehmina Sunny (Perception). Pandora premieres July 16th on The CW.

Knights of the Zodiac: Saint Seiya

Seiya and the Knights of the Zodiac rise again to protect the reincarnation of the goddess Athena, but a dark prophecy hangs over them all. Knights of the Zodiac: Saint Seiya premieres July 19th on Netflix.

Pearson

Pearson is a spin-off to Suits and it centers around the world of recently disbarred NYC powerhouse lawyer Jessica Pearson as she adjusts to down and dirty Chicago politics. Newly appointed as Chicago Mayor Bobby Novak’s right-hand fixer, Jessica is quickly embroiled in a crooked and dangerous new world where every action has far-reaching consequences. Starring Gina Torres (Suits), Morgan Spector (Homeland), Bethany Joy Lenz (One Tree Hill), Simon Kassianides (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.), Eli Goree (Riverdale), Isabel Arraiza (The Oath), and Chantel Riley (Wynonna Earp)Pearson premieres July 17th on USA.

Another Life
Another Life centers on astronaut Niko Breckinridge who is focused on searching for alien intelligence. She leads a crew on a mission to explore the genesis of an alien artifact. As Niko and her young crew investigate, they face unimaginable danger on what might very well be a one-way mission. Starring Katee Sackhoff (Battlestar Galactica), Tyler Hoechlin (Teen Wolf), Selma Blair (Cruel Intentions), and Jake Abel (Percy Jackson). Another Life premieres July 25th on Netflix.

The Boys

Supes have been committing atrocities, which keep getting swept under the rug because they are revered by the adoring public. Billy Butcher recruits The Boys who have all been wronged by The Seven, the world’s most notorious superheroes, to bring them down and stop the corruption. Based on the best-selling comics by Garth Ennis, The Boys is a revenge story where the nobodies take on the somebodies. Starring Karl Urban (Star Trek), Antony Starr (American Gothic), Dominique McElligott (The Last Tycoon), Chace Crawford (Gossip Girl), Jessie T. Usher (Survivor’s Remorse), and Nathan Mitchell (iZombie). The Boys premieres July 26th on Amazon Prime Video.

Pennyworth

The story of Alfred Pennyworth, a former special-forces officer living in London and working for Bruce Wayne’s father. Starring Jack Bannon (Ripper Street), Ben Aldridge (Fleabag), Paloma Faith (Youth), Hainsley Lloyd Bennett (King of Crime), and Emma Corrin (The Crown). Pennyworth premieres July 28th on EPIX.

Four Weddings and A Funeral
Maya, the young communications director for a New York senatorial campaign, receives a wedding invitation from her college schoolmate now living in London. She leaves her professional and personal life behind, in favor of traveling to England and reconnecting with old friends and ends up in the midst of their personal crises. Relationships are forged and broken, political scandals exposed, London social life lampooned, love affairs ignited and doused, and of course there are four weddings… and a funeral. Starring Nathalie Emmanuel (Game of Thrones), Nikesh Patel (Indian Summers), Rebecca Rittenhouse (The Mindy Project), and John Reynolds (Stranger Things)Four Weddings and A Funeral premieres July 31st on Hulu.
