If you’re in need of some sci-fi, Netflix’s new Original series Another Life will give you just that with its blend of Alien, Stargate, and Arrival.
When a mysterious alien Artifact lands on Earth, Commander Niko Breckinridge (Katee Sackhoff) has to lead humanity’s first interstellar mission to its planet of origin, while her husband tries to make first contact with the artifact back on earth. Another Life explores the miracle of life, how precious life is in a universe mostly empty of it, and the lengths we will go to protect the ones we love.
Starring Katee Sackhoff (Battlestar Galactica) as Niko Breckinridge, Tyler Hoechlin (Teen Wolf) as Ian Yerxa, Selma Blair (Cruel Intentions) as Harper Glass, Jake Abel (Percy Jackson) as Sasha Harrison, Samuel Anderson (The History Boys) as William, Alexander Eling (Shadowhunters) as Javier Almanzar, Blu Hunt (The Originals) as August, and Elizabeth Faith Ludlow (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2) as Cas Isakovic.
The series comes from Aaron Martin (Being Erica, Slasher) and Alias Grace‘s Noreen Halpern will serve as an executive for Halfire Entertainment.
Another Life premieres July 25th on Netflix with 10 episodes.
