Last weeks episode left us with a big cliffhanger, but this episode felt more like it stepped away from our main storyline to bring in new little plots that I for one don’t think were needed.
14 years ago Clarice escaped from her foster home with her foster sister as that home only took in mutants since they get some extra money for them. When they escaped, her sister went back to save the other children and gets killed. This trauma leads to a choice she makes today.
Lorna and Marcos split up after watching Reeva meeting with Benedict Ryan. Even though Lorna does not want to go back to the Inner Circle, she thinks it is wiser if she goes back to find out things on the upcoming mission. At the last second, she finds out that the terror trio are on their way to kill Evangeline.

After his injuries, John should stay in bed, but he is up and supports Evangeline as good as he can. Meanwhile, Clarice, John, and Marcos pick up Erg and are on their way to the meeting spot. What they find is a house on fire and a lot of body bags in it, which the entire national leadership of the underground is. If that would not be enough, John wants to go down there and search for survivors even if it means to expose himself. This brings him into a fight with Erg, which basically started over Clarice’s mutant name, Blink.
I mentioned Clarice’s hard childhood earlier, which has an impact on her current situation. She cannot stand by anyone’s side and watch them die. So she decides to leave and live with the morlocks from now on.

To be honest, I do not know what this episode was supposed to show us. Not much happened and we are not really any step further into the story.
At the moment, it seems that Evangeline died. But if you didn’t see it onscreen, did it really happen? We learned a bit about Evangeline and Erg’s relationship. She saved his live a long time ago and after the mutant attack of 7/15, they both founded the underground. They worked together until a human ally betrayed them, after that day they went down different paths.I hope she lives because I would love to hear more about her relationship with Lorna.
The one side story I really don’t think was needed was Caitlin’s idea about seeing her brother and asking him for help. He betrayed them and lead Sentinel Services to them. What was the point of that again?
The more interesting part concerning the Strucker’s was the music box as Lauren translated the letter from German to English. While Reed is alone at home, he opens the music box and starts to remember that he found this box when he was a kid. He finds the letter and his powers appear. The music seems to have an impact on the Strucker DNA. After all the letter continues saying that the Strucker’s have the will to power and they should embrace it, it is their destiny.
The episode ends with Andy going to bed with the Frost sisters beside him. They want to reach through Andy’s head into his dream to contact Lauren to join the Inner Circle.
I hope that the next episode will give us more answers about Reeva and Mr. Ryan as well as the real deal about Fenris. My personal wish, I need Clarice back with John! #ThunderBlinkForever
