Directed and produced by the Coen Brothers, who also created No Country For Old Men and True Grit, comes a new Netflix Original titled The Ballad of Buster Scruggs, which sees the likes of James Franco, Liam Neeson, and many more starring.
The Ballad of Buster Scruggs is a six-part Western anthology film, with a total run time of 132 minutes, and it is a series of tales about the American frontier told through the unique and incomparable voice of Joel and Ethan Coen. Each chapter tells a distinct story about the American West.
“We’ve always loved anthology movies, especially those films made in Italy in the Sixties which set side-by-side the work of different directors on a common theme. Having written an anthology of Western stories we attempted to do the same, hoping to enlist the best directors working today. It was our great fortune that they both agreed to participate.”
The Ballad of Buster Scruggs debuted at the Venice Film Festival in September, where it took home the Best Screenplay award.
