A young software engineer, Lily Chan, investigates the secretive development division of her employer, a cutting-edge tech company based in Silicon Valley, which she believes is behind the murder of her boyfriend.
The new series marks Alex Garland’s television debut after previously being the writer-director behind Ex Machina and Annihilation. Garland spent 15 years researching Devs and during the panel at the TCA’s winter press tour (via Syfy), Garland said that philosophical arguments about technology are “irrevocably complicated” and “can’t be reduced to sound bites. But I don’t want to reduce the truth of the thing. Doing that is a real disservice, by making real things false.”
Starring Sonya Mizuno (Maniac), Nick Offerman (Parks & Recreation), Jin Ha, Zach Grenier (The Good Wife), Cailee Spaeny (Bad Times At The El Royale), Stephen McKinley Henderson (Fences), and Alison Pill (Scott Pilgrim vs. the World).
Devs premieres March 5th on Hulu with two episodes and then the series will air weekly with a total of eight episodes.
