Last week we received first look photos at Hulu’s Marvel’s Runaways, and now at New York Comic Con, the first teaser trailer has debuted.
Based on the 2003 comics, the series follows a group of six very diverse teenagers who discover their parents are super-villains in disguise. They must band together to run away from their homes in order to atone for their parents’ actions and to discover the secrets of their origins.
In the first teaser, the parents bring them all to a luxurious house before abandoning their children and slip away to attend to some grown-up business, which involves red cloaks and a girl in a white dress. Naturally, the teenagers become curious and end up stumbling upon their parents performing some sort of ritual that looks to involve a human sacrifice.
The young group of teenagers consist of Gregg Sulkin (Faking It), Rhenzy Feliz (Teen Wolf), Lyrica Okano (The Affair), Virginia Gardner (Goat), Ariela Barer (New Girl), and Allegra Acosta (Just Add Magic).
Playing their parents are Ryan Sands (The Wire), Angel Parker, Brittany Ishibashi, James Yaegashi, Kevin Weisman (Alias), Brigid Brannagh (Army Wives), Annie Wersching (24), Kip Pardue (Ray Donovan), Ever Carradine (Major Crimes), and James Marsters (Buffy).
The series will be produced by Jeph Loeb along with showrunners Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage (Gossip Girl, The O.C.).
The 10-episode series premieres in November with the first three episodes airing November 21st on Hulu.
