Lara Jean Covey has the coolest outfits on Netflix as her style in To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before gave us all major closet envy. Luckily for us, she’s back again with a new (vintage) wardrobe, so here are five favourite Lara Jean looks from P.S. I Still Love You.
1. First Date
The red. The RED. Even though I’m not necessarily a fan of the huge bows, this is working for her so it’s working for me. I love the barrettes. I love the whimsy. The silhouette is also very romantic. It’s her first date ever and she nails the moment.
2. French Toast
Little Lara Jean dressed as french toast in one of her memories of John Ambrose and her undoubtedly handcrafted take on this punny breakfast favourite is a big winner. I can only imagine how amazing her other costumes have been through the years.
3. The Star Ball
This beautiful blue dress delivers. Stormy says it best when she says the way Lara Jean looks that night should be illegal. It’s a stunning look, a vintage silhouette that we’ve come to expect from our girl, and who wouldn’t want to get dressed up for a ball? I also think the colour is amazing on her. It takes us back to pastel dreamland.
4. Reading John Ambrose’s Letter
High-waisted jeans paired with a puffy sleeved blouse and a mustard yellow sweater vest, yes! I wish this outfit got a little more camera time. She basically just runs through one scene in it. More high-waisted pants, please!
5. Grocery Shopping For Fakesgiving
This nifty little yellow blouse, green and white jacket combo is so cute, but I think this outfit is mostly here because of how delightful that scene is, and how happy she looks. The plot line of budding love between LJ’s dad and Ms. Rothschild is my favourite part about the movie.
