We’re sure you all know the feeling. You read a book, you love it even, but there is that part of you that wishes that these characters were queer. So, our contributors Mimi and Simone asked their Instagram followers for their favourite straight reads that they wish were a little… not so straight.

We have paired each straight book with a queer book we think you will really enjoy if you’ve liked the original. Our picks vary from all-time classics, to sweet teenage romances, and to fabulous fantasy adventures. We are sure that there is one pick for everyone here!
CLASSICS
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen → Gay Pride and Prejudice by Kate Christie
Pride and Prejudice:
Since its immediate success in 1813, Pride and Prejudice has remained one of the most popular novels in the English language.
