Hulu has released its first teaser for The Handmaid’s Tale, based on the 1985 classic novel by Margaret Atwood.
The series is set in the dystopian Republic of Gilead, a totalitarian theocracy which was once the United States. Women have been stripped of their personal rights and for Offred, she is now part of the handmaids whose sole purpose is to reproduce.
The Handmaid’s Tale airs April 26th on Hulu.
Starring Elisabeth Moss, Alexis Bledel, Samira Wiley, Joseph Fiennes and Yvonne Strahovski.
