About All the Other Me (out November 19th): Perfect for fans of The Rehearsals by Annette Christie and What Might Have Been by Holly Miller, All the Other Me is a poignant story of what it means to come to terms with who you are, and who you can be.

I’m going to be completely honest and tell you that books with alternate timelines can really stress me out. I need for all things to work out when I’m reading, which is why I tend to gravitate toward romance or cozy mysteries. It’s also why you’ll find a fair bit of romance in All the Other Me.

The Time Traveller’s Wife by Audrey Niffenegger

I think this is where my timeline anxiety stems from. This book is so beautifully written, but it wrecked me. It was done so well, and the writing was extraordinary. Years later, I can still feel that moment when she meets him. I never watched the movie because I cried hard enough during the book.

Landline by Rainbow Rowell

Rainbow Rowell is a favorite of mine, and this book was pure joy from the names of her characters to the way she describes a character’s fascination with the person they love. This book was so fun and sweet and achingly tender. I loved watching them fall in love and remind themselves of how they were always meant to be together.

The Second Chance Year by Melissa Wiesner

I had the great privilege of reading this book early to blurb it. The characters pull you in and charm you. I love the friendships and the romance and the way the author played with the timeline to show her main characters what they were missing out on all along.

The Do Over by Lynn Painter

This is such a sweet and vulnerable read that is fun and a tiny bit rebellious, sort of like the lovely author. It captures growing up over and over and over again in the best possible way.

Maybe in Another Life by Taylor Jenkins Reid

A book that I’ve had on my TBR since it came out. I know it will be lyrical and moving because that’s just how Taylor Jenkins Reid writes. I love the premise of this book, and I think that even the title reflects something we’ve all spent time thinking about: what would have happened…if…?
