Animal Kingdom (TNT & Netflix)

When Joshua’s mother overdoses, his grandmother picks him up to live with the rest of his family. His life soon changes as he begins to learn that they’re all criminals and has to decide whether or not he wants to become a real Cody.

American Gods (Starz)

Based on the best selling-novel by Neil Gaiman, an ex-con begins to work as a bodyguard for a man who goes by Mr. Wednesday. As their journey around America continues, magic and Gods reveal themselves. It’s only a matter of time until new Gods arise for the taking. 

The Sinner (Netflix)

Mystery thriller fans will love this one as each season is different since a detective tries to solve unspeakable crimes committed by ordinary people. 

Baby (Netflix)

This Italian TV series on Netflix follows the lives of two private school girls in Rome who seem innocent but live a secret life at night.

Reprisal (Hulu)

Katherine Harlow plots out a revenge on the Banish Brawlers biker gang after they left her to die. Years later she returns as Doris and won’t stop at anything to get back at them all.

The Boys (Amazon Prime)

In a world where famous people can hide the deepest darkest secrets comes the comic book adaptation, superheroes are supposed to be good but The Boys won’t stop at anything to show the Supes true colours. 

Killing Eve (BBC America & AMC)

A talented hit woman filled with compassion searches for a mother figure. Her options are limited as she only gets along with a security officer.

The Neighborhood (CBS)

In this family sitcom where a Caucasian family moves to a new suburb, they’ll have to get used to how things work in the cultural community. It’s not easy being the odd ones out and having your neighbour keep watch of you.

Abigail Spencer, from Timeless and Suits, stars in Hulu’s new series Reprisal as femme fatale in a hyper-noir story.

Created by executive producer and showrunner Josh Corbin (StartUp), Reprisal is a hyper-noir story that follows a femme fatale, Doris Quinn, who, after being left for dead, relentlessly sets out to seek revenge against her brother and his bombastic gang of gearheads. The thriller promises to examine “the intricacies of family – both the one you’re born with, and the one you make along the way.”

At the TCA’s in July, Abigail Spencer (Timeless, Suits) spoke about playing Doris: “I feel like Doris is kind of harnessing all of the energy of the planet of feminist rage and bringing that forward,” she said. “I feel so honoured to be a container for that.”

The series will ‘blur’ the lines of good and evil, and showrunner and executive producer Josh Corbin hopes viewers will question the series: “I think the difference between good and evil is a blurred line. I want the audience to ask themselves, ‘I don’t know how I feel about that’.”

The series stars Abigail Spencer (Timeless), Rodrigo Santoro (Westworld), Mena Massoud (Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan, Aladdin), Rhys Wakefield (True Detective), Madison Davenport (From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series), Gilbert Owuor (Goliath), David Dastmalchian (MacGyver), W. Earl Brown (Preacher), Craig Tate (Snowfall), Wavyy Jonez (Unsolved: The Murders of Tupac and the Notorious B.I.G.), Shane Callahan (Outsiders), Rory Cochrane (CSI: Miami), Bethany Anne Lind (Doom Patrol), and Lea DeLaria (Orange Is the New Black).

Reprisal premieres December 6th on Hulu with 10 episodes.

Naturally, there’s plenty of new original shows coming to Netflix including V Wars, which stars The Vampire Diaries‘ Ian Somerhalder, Virgin River, Soundtrack, and the biggest one of them all—The Witcher. As for other streaming services, Apple TV+’s has a new series called Truth Be Told, which stars Octavia Spencer and Aaron Paul, and Hulu’s Reprisal is a hyper-noir story that follows a femme fatale. As for regular TV, be on the lookout for The L Word: Generation Q, Work In Progress, and Dare Me.
