On Call is an adrenalised and visceral police drama that follows a rookie and veteran officer duo as they go on patrol in Long Beach, California. Shot with a mixture of hand-held cameras, bodycam and dash-cam footage to create a cinema verité effect, the innovative series explores the morality of protecting and serving a community.

The series stars Troian Bellisario (Pretty Little Liars) as hard-charging but protective veteran officer “Traci Harmon,” who struggles to find her place in the department while training the next generation of officers. Brandon Larracuente (The Good Doctor) stars as “Alex Diaz,” an ambitious rookie who grapples with holding onto his optimistic outlook as he realizes the challenges he’ll face in today’s climate.

Additional cast includes Eriq La Salle (ER, Logan) as “Sergeant Lasman,” who also serves as an executive producer on the series and directed multiple episodes, Lori Loughlin (Fuller House) as “Lieutenant Bishop,” and Rich Ting as “Sergeant Koyama” (Tulsa King).

All eight episodes release globally on 9 January.

Kate Sanders is an ambitious and gifted, if tomboyish, aspiring ballerina from Virginia who, because of her low-income status, is given a scholarship to attend a prestigious ballet school in Paris, France. Upon arriving at the cutthroat, internationally-renowned institution, her confidence and emotional fortitude are tested by a beautiful, mysterious fellow dancer, Marine Durand, who recently lost her brother (and dance partner) to suicide.

While confrontational at first, Kate and Marine’s relationship evolves into an emotionally-charged, competitive union beset by lies, sexual awakening and, ultimately, emotional breakthrough as they risk everything to win the school’s ultimate prize: a contract to join the Opéra national de Paris.

While his classmates plan their livelihoods after graduation, Jamie contemplates revealing his secret career ambition as a fabulous and proud drag queen. His best friend Pritti (Lauren Patel) and his loving mom (Sarah Lancashire) shower him with endless support while local drag legend Miss Loco Chanelle (Richard E. Grant) mentors him toward his debut stage performance. But it’s not all rainbows for Jamie as his deadbeat dad (Ralph Ineson), an uninspired career advisor (Sharon Horgan), and some ignorant school kids attempt to rain on his sensational aspirations.

In rousing and colourful musical numbers, Jamie and his community inspire one another to be more accepting, and to see the value in facing adversity stepping out of the darkness into the spotlight.

Everybody’s Talking About Jamie stars newcomer Max Harwood, Sarah Lancashire, Lauren Patel, Shobna Gulati, Ralph Ineson, Adeel Akhtar, Samuel Bottomley, with Sharon Horgan and Richard E. Grant. The stage production’s director, Jonathan Butterell, makes his feature-film debut as director, with screenplay and lyrics by Tom MacRae, songs by Dan Gillespie Sells and a score composed by Sells and Anne Dudley. Mark Herbert, p.g.a., Peter Carlton, p.g.a., and Arnon Milchan are producing, with Yariv Milchan, Michael Schaefer, Natalie Lehmann, Daniel Battsek, Ollie Madden, Peter Balm, Niall Shamma and Jes Wilkins serving as executive producers.

The new series sees 12 entrepreneurs and designers from around the world will compete against one another and the winning designer/entrepreneur will be awarded $1,000,000 to invest in their business. 

The designers will travel to New York, Paris and Tokyo where they will challenge their design and entrepreneurial skills. Challenges take them to New York City, Tokyo, and Paris, and the winning looks will be shoppable at around $100 or less, and in sizes from XXS to XXL on Amazon immediately following each episode. 

Executive producers are Sara Rea, Heidi Klum, Tim Gunn, Page Feldman, and Jennifer Love. Ramy Romany will direct the series. 

The series premieres March 27th on Amazon Prime Video with 10 episodes and the finale will air on April 24th.

One of those named, is widowed antique dealer, Mark Easterbrook (Rufus Sewell), who despite having found love again, with new wife Hermia (Kaya Scodelario), is still haunted by the tragic death of his first wife, Delphine (Georgina Campbell). The Pale Horse tells the story of Mark’s investigation into how and why his name came to appear on the list; an investigation that leads him to the peculiar home of a trio of rumoured witches (Rita Tushingham, Sheila Atim, and Kathy Kiera Clarke), The Pale Horse, in the beautiful village of Much Deeping. Word has it that the witches can do away with a rich relative, by supernatural means alone…

Despite Mark’s scepticism of the paranormal, he cannot help but be consumed by the increasingly strange and extraordinary things that begin to happen around him. Is this too the work of the witches of The Pale Horse, and does this mean he is next on their list? Or can he find a rational explanation and identify the killer before they catch up with him?

The Pale Horse premieres March 13th on Amazon Prime Video after previously airing in the UK on BBC One in February.

The new series will follow this iconic character into the next chapter of his life after leaving his life as a Starfleet Admiral, so the series picks up 18 years after the events of Star Trek: Nemesis.

The series stars Sir Patrick Stewart, Alison Pill (The Newsroom), Harry Treadaway (Penny Dreadful), Isa Briones (American Crime Story: Versace), Santiago Cabrera (Big Little Lies), Michelle Hurd (Blindspot), and Evan Evagora.

Picard will also see several familiar faces reprise their roles including Brett Spiner as Data, Jonathan Frakes as Will Riker, Marina Sirtis as Deanna Troi, and Jeri Ryan as Seven of Nine.

The series is produced by CBS Television Studios in association with Secret Hideout and Roddenberry Entertainment. Alex Kurtzman, Michael Chabon, Akiva Goldsman, James Duff, Patrick Stewart, Heather Kadin, Rod Roddenberry, and Trevor Roth serve as executive producers and Aaron Baiers (Secret Hideout) serves as co-executive producer and Kirsten Beyer as supervising producer. Hanelle Culpepper will direct the first two episodes of the series.

Star Trek: Picard premieres January 23rd on CBS All Access in the U.S. Each episode will be available on Amazon Prime Video within 24 hours of their U.S. release. Star Trek: Picard consists of 10 episodes.

Modern Love is inspired and based on eight true stories from the popular New York Times column of the same name. This half-hour romantic comedy series explores love in all of its complicated and beautiful forms, as each standalone episode brings some of the column’s most beloved stories to life with a stellar cast.

In the trailer, we see teases of the true stories including Tina Fey and John Slattery as a couple in marriage counselling, Cristin Milioti plays a young pregnant woman, and Anne Hathaway faces dating problems.

Neil Gaiman, co-author of Good Omens and now showrunner, joined the Amazon Prime Showcase panel at San Diego Comic-Con and brought forth some news about the new series including a behind-the-scenes featurette and the voice of God.

The upcoming series is based on the best-selling novel by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett, which ees The End of the World is nigh. This means a fussy Angel and a loose-living Demon who’ve become overly fond of life on Earth are forced to form an unlikely alliance to stop Armageddon. But they have lost the Antichrist, an 11-year-old boy unaware he’s meant to bring upon the end of days, forcing them to embark on an adventure to find him and save the world before it’s too late.

After a teaser for Season 2 of The Tick, the focus was turned to Gaiman’s upcoming Good Omens and naturally attendees assumed they would be treated to a trailer. However, a voice came down from the heavens and the voice of God belonged to none other than Frances McDormand (Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri). “Do not show any footage, we have talked about this,” the voice said.

Gaiman responded with, “If i don’t show them something, there will be riots. There will be blood on the floor, possibly mine.” Thankfully, the voice of God relented and allowed a one and a half-minute long featurette to be shown which featured concept art, behind the scenes action, and interview with actors Michael Sheen, David Tennant, and Jon Hamm. In addition to this featurette, attendees were also treated to a short scene between Sheen and Tennant, who play angels Aziraphale and Crowley, about how Tennant’s character fell from heaven. After the end of the videos, McDormand’s voice spoke once more. “You’ve earned a place in Heaven,” she said. “I’ll have my people talk to your people.”

During the panel, Gaiman relayed how he managed to nab the recently Oscar-winning Frances McDormand. Apparently she had called Gaiman to borrow his house in Scotland, and Gaiman jokingly “blackmailed” her that she could have the house if she played God, as he knew from the star the role had to be played by a woman.

The series stars Michael Sheen (Masters of Sex), David Tennant (Doctor Who), Jon Hamm (Mad Men), Adria Arjona (Emerald City), Nick Offerman (Parks and Recreation), Miranda Richardson (Harry Potter), Jack Whitehall (Bad Education), and Michael McKean (Better Call Saul).

The six-part adaptation will premiere on Amazon Prime Video in 2019.
