Spoilers for seasons 1-4 of Lucifer ahead

Honestly, one of the things I love the most about Lucifer is how it’s evolved over the seasons so that its myriad cast members have their own complexities, back stories, and contribution to the broader narrative of the show. That isn’t to say that the eponymous Lucifer (played to perfection by Tom Ellis) isn’t the key focus of the show, nor is his underlying romantic connection to Chloe Decker (Lauren Graham) any less central to the plot, but as we entered part one of season five, the show is also about questions of redemption, meaningful relationships, and the complexities of a parent-child relationship, which is only enhanced by the relationships across the characters of the show.

It feels like a spoiler to say that Lucifer returns from Hell, but we know that he was always going to come back to Chloe – especially after the final lines of season 4 has him declaring that she was his “first love” and her replying that she loved him. Of course, the enjoyment is then how and why Lucifer comes back to the human realm, and what implications are raised by his time away, as well as what’s meant that he’s come back to Earth.

The first instalment of season five is arguably the most cohesive yet, with each episode contributing in a meaningful way to the crescendo of the finale. I’ve written before about why I am so partial to this trend of a shortened season (or even the trend of breaking the season into multiple parts), and part one of season five only serves to substantiate my claim. Having fewer episodes means there is less need to pad out the plot to reach the 20-episode mark. Instead, we got eight shows that approach an hour in length, which each build toward a finale in a satisfying way (for instance in one episode, Lucifer and Dan grind through police work and explore the importance of the procedural approach to solving crime, and it intersects beautifully with the storyline of the finale). While it means that at times, balancing the exposition and exploration of the stories for the relatively large primary cast of characters doesn’t perhaps always take place, I’d say that part one has done a really admirable job of nearing this – we got more insight into the personal life of Ella than we’ve ever had before (and I’m so delighted Aimee Garcia was given more meaty material to work with – she does a phenomenal job with her character’s progression), we have insight in to Maze (Lesley-Ann Brandt)’s backstory, and we have insight into Linda (Rachael Harris – who does a phenomenal job with the role and always has)’s past, which gives the season a heart and depth that was really enjoyable to watch. I would have loved a little bit more of a focus on Dan, although it becomes clear as the season progresses why that doesn’t happen, and I also would have loved a bit more of Amenadiel as a father; it provided much of the season’s comic relief. At the end of the day though, the series has introduced so many primary characters, all of whom are compelling and interesting in their own right, it’s hard to give them all the time they deserve. I suspect part two may right any imbalances.

What strikes me as particularly delightful about this series is that it feels as though the whole team – the cast, the crew, and the writers – are having fun. Episode four, ‘It Never Ends Well for the Chicken’ is a black-and-white jump back to when Lucifer was roaming the world in 1946, and emulates the noir detective genre. It wasn’t my personal favourite episode, but I appreciated how it was a play around with genre and form, and it was a more interesting way to fill out backstory that is often otherwise done, given the way it entered the narrative; via Trixie requesting Lucifer tell her the story of his ring.

To me, Lucifer is at its best when it’s a bit creepy, when the lightheartedness caused by Lucifer’s narcissistic shenanigans are offset by the sinister fact that they are hunting killers – it only happens a couple of times across the season, but it’s so magnificent when it does; really, it’s the one thing I’d love to see a bit more of in part two.

If I had to pick one aspect across the season which I didn’t love, I felt the ongoing hostility from Maze towards Lucifer frustrated me; their relationship has been strained for several seasons, now, and I’d prefer there to be some kind of resolution sooner rather than later, as it feels as though it’s just dragging on at this stage, even though the writers have put in clearly why Maze has reason to feel genuine grievance with Lucifer, exacerbated by the way her personal struggles are unfolding.

Ultimately though, the show hinges on its titular character. And Ellis, whose strident campaigning for the show to be saved following its initial cancellation by Fox after the end of season four was integral to it being picked up by Netflix, once again demonstrates that he is more than just a (very) pretty face. Without going too far into the realm of spoilers, Ellis plays two characters across the season. While lighting, camera angles, and production all assist in drawing a clear delineation between the two, it’s grounded in a really great performance.

Things to look forward to in part two include a musical episode which Ellis says he’s “very excited for,” in part because it was crafted to avoid being ‘gimicky’. As an aside, alongside this season was the release of a soundtrack of the music sung by the cast across the seasons. Highlights include Ellis’ version of ‘All Along the Watchtower’ and Lesley-Ann Bradnt’s rendition of ‘Wonderwall’ (which I think may be the most beautiful version of it I’ve heard – and yes, I’m an Oasis fan). Ellis said of the fact that singing is such a key component of the character, “it rekindles my passion for singing, which ironically started in church when I was a child,” which is a really wholesome thought.

SPOILERS TO FOLLOW

Showrunners have also teased that, with the appearance of God (and it cracks me up every time Lucifer says ‘for Dad’s sake’ instead of ‘for God’s sake), we’ll see Lucifer ‘reverting’ in his behaviour, in the way that we often become more childish around our own parents.

On the whole, this season of Lucifer was a great watch. I can’t wait for part two.

Written by contributor Daphne Asir

It has now been a year since a resurrected Lucifer released its fourth season on Netflix and we are highly anticipating the next season of this devilishly good drama with the first half of Season 5 releasing it on August 21st.

It’s time to get reacquainted with our favourite fallen angel in the lead up to Season 5, so if you don’t have time to rebinge the series, we’ve rounded up a few fantastic episodes from each season for you to watch and enjoy once again!

Season 1

Episode 1: Pilot
The beginning of the epic tale of the devil who takes a vacation! It’s only fitting that this is where your binge should begin. Lucifer teams up with Chloe Decker to investigate the murder of an old acquaintance.

Episode 4: Manly Whatnots
In this episode, Lucifer tries to seduce Chloe, who is just not like the other ladies and here is the start of the courtship that would last four seasons. A must-watch considering how Deckerstar will hopefully be one of the main plotlines in season 5.

Episode 9: A Priest Walks into a Bar
A priest teams up with Lucifer to investigate a drug case. It also offers further insight into Lucifer’s relationship with his dad (umm…God) and also about the way he looks at the world. One of the most gut-wrenching episodes of the series.

Episode 11: St. Lucifer
Lucifer discovers he likes doing good. Need I say more? And also, we’re treated with a glimpse of Lucifer’s heavenly singing.

Episode 24: A Devil Of My Word
Chloe sees Lucifer’s devil face!

Season 4

Episode 1: Everything’s Okay
This was a long-awaited episode. Chloe returns a month after seeing Lucifer’s devil face. They go back to working on a case together, but can it really be that simple?

Episode 4: All About Eve
Eve is back on earth! Lucifer runs into Eve at Lux, while Chloe and Lucifer investigate the death of a jeweller, Pablo Silva.

It’s fair to say that Judeo-Christian societies have a particular fascination with the Devil. After all, this is considered to be the figure responsible for Adam and Eve being cast out of the Garden of Eden, the person who tempted Christ in the desert for forty days and forty nights. This figure of temptation is rendered even more complex by the narrative of rebellion – the brightest of God’s angels turning against Divine order to incite rebellion and then being cast down to rule Hell. In many ways, it presents us with a dichotomous way to interpret the story: as a fall from grace which thus invites the opportunity for redemption, or that of an anarchic desire to sow chaos in an otherwise ordered world.

It feels as though stories which prominently feature in this part of our collective consciousness have taken a particular precedence of late. Two in particular have received a huge following: Lucifer and The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. Interestingly enough, both are comics, both are in fact spin-off characters from other hugely successful series (Sabrina from the Archie comics, and Lucifer from Neil Gaiman’s seminal Sandman graphic novels), both have been adapted into television shows which have attracted a devoted following, and now both are Netflix shows. This also comes amid Good Omens being released on Amazon; even though it doesn’t feature the figure of Satan, it nevertheless points to the interest in the heaven/hell dichotomy, and further underscores Gaiman’s place within these narrative explorations as he co-wrote the novel with Terry Pratchett and is showrunner on the series.

So what the devil can we take away from the popularity of these shows? Well, I’d argue that it points to our society’s interest with what the story of the devil represents: a fall from grace, questions of redemption, the prospect of temptation, and even the thorny issue of choice. Sabrina more directly challenges the supposed truths outlaid in the Bible (see aunt Zelda teaching children that the false god sought to deny Adam and Eve knowledge and thus make them slaves) and then makes a broader criticism of blind religious faith. By contrast, Lucifer doesn’t spend a lot of time challenging biblical history but suggests that the story of the devil is more complex than may initially appear. The introduction of Eve in season four is a good example of this – see her monologue about being created to be someone else’s wife and not having any identity beyond that until Lucifer showed her she could be a person in her own right. Thus, both shows, despite the very different versions of the devil they depict, strongly feature these questions and show the characters struggling with them.

If we take the story of the devil, and indeed much of our religious teachings, as a way to regulate morality, then these shows look at questions of moral behaviour within the context of a framework which has existed to assist us in arriving at answers. Questions that seem to arise include what does it mean to be ‘good’, that we accept the punishments and torture we believe we deserve, temptation, and how much of our behaviour is determined by how other people define us. To that end, when Lucifer’s physical appearance [SPOILER] becomes increasingly demonic in season 4 as a result of his self-perception as a bad person, it serves as an exaggerated metaphor. How we see ourselves can feed into how we behave, but as the season’s finale showed, it is within our power to behave better and in so doing, change how we see ourselves.

In Sabrina, we see the manner in which the teachings of the Church of the Night and the lives of its parishioners are centred upon the pursuit of personal freedom. It thus implicitly (and explicitly) suggests that the directions on how to live and behave as laid out in the Bible and Judeo-Christian teachings are in fact a way to incite control and curtail personal freedom rather than a way to tell people how to live a morally ‘good’ life. As such, what becomes good is therefore the pursuit of personal satisfaction. However, much of the show reveals that the Church of Night’s teachings are in fact just as repressive and restrictive as those of the ultra-orthodox religions. In other words, the way Sabrina is structured almost places Sabrina in the position of Satan-esque rebel questioning what she has simply been forced to believe, and going against the moral authority as laid out by her deity.

The most significant contrast between the two shows is the fact that Lucifer is the central character in Lucifer, while in Sabrina, Satan is a largely peripheral figure whose presence is inferred more than it is definite until [SPOILER] the final episodes of season two. Whereas much of his appearance was in the incarnation of a goat-like creature until he assumes human form and becomes a significant direct actor within the denouement of the season. Moreover, Lucifer is someone struggling with the understanding of who he is and whether much of his self-understanding is predicated on the idea of playing a role that has been ascribed to him by others. The idea of the devil in therapy (and props here must go to Rachel Harris who plays Linda with finesse and wry humour) was initially hilarious to me, but as it has endured across the show’s four seasons, it becomes a space in which Lucifer genuinely exposes his vulnerabilities, and even has the occasional breakthrough, paving the way to a redemption for him.

If we return to the dichotomous way of really distilling the story of the devil (a fall from grace and a struggle for redemption vs a through-and-through force for chaos), Sabrina and Lucifer each take a side. Sabrina’s devil is a figure of self-interest, seeking to manipulate people around him to achieve his own demonic ends. By contrast, Lucifer shows us someone trying to be a better person.

They’re both shows that deal with the figure of Satan, and they’re both devilishly good. In the diametrically opposite way they both present and interpret the story of the devil, they demonstrate the malleability of the figure who has dominated so much of our society’s historic imaginings. But really, the best way to arrive at your own conclusion about this is to watch them if you haven’t, and re-watch them if you have.

TV series Lucifer joined the ranks of a spate of popular TV shows that were cancelled for ratings-based reasons last year, but picked up by other networks thanks to massive fan support (others include The Expanse and Brooklyn Nine Nine). Indeed, TND even wrote a plea for the devilishly good show to be saved from the chopping block, contributing to the massive swell of support that ultimately saw Netflix acquire the show.

The 10 episode season dropped on May 8th, and I sacrificed myself and watched it as quickly as I could (2.5 days) in order to deliver this review to you, the people.

The entirety of the season really shows the characters dealing with the aftermath of season three’s startling conclusion: Chloe coming to terms with what exactly Lucifer is. Her realisation in episode 7 that he’s an angel as well as a devil is a really nice reminder for the audience about the dualism inherent to his identity. The season also sees everybody working through Charlotte’s death in their own way, which is an unusually intimate thing for a single season to so closely follow, although the fact that the season is only ten episodes facilitates that. As an aside, I’m really enjoying the movement of shorter series runs that we’re currently seeing. As great as it is to have more of our favourite shows, there’s an argument to be made that it leads to greater pressure to spin out storylines beyond their natural length and to create plots that have room for improvement to fill a twenty-two plus episode series. In fact, Tom Ellis himself agrees with me on this point, as he claimed the format gives “lean, great storytelling for all of our characters all the way through the 10 episodes, and it makes it more compelling.

The course of the season ultimately comes back to one of its central themes; that the choices we make define us, and that choosing to do the right thing is often difficult and an unclear process. Moreover, this season raises an interesting question that subtly becomes more and more prominent as the episodes progress: is Lucifer the tempter or the tempted? Does he lead humanity astray, or does he merely respond to the capacity for corruption within people?

Tom Ellis’ acting was to me the standout of the season, and the best it’s been show’s entire run. Perhaps it’s because this season arguably puts Lucifer in a position of extreme conflict and as such, draws upon the range of Ellis’ skill as a perform. Regardless, Ellis brings the charisma and devilish charm that so characterises his performance as the debauchery-loving, irreverent devil, while balancing this against a deep insecurity and vulnerability that arises out of his introspective quest. His performance rings true, and it genuinely painted a portrait of a person struggling with themselves, what they want, and what they believe is the limit of who and what they are.

The other new facet of his acting which is worth a brief mention, is his behind. Thanks to the different censorship requirements on Netflix (similarly, Brooklyn Nine Nine is now “bleeping” and “blurring” thanks to different censorship standards on NBC which picked it up after it was cancelled by Fox), the show debuted, well, his butt, in addition to even more topless scenes of him that are a testament to the fact that the man puts in a significant amount of time well-spent at the gym.

But back to the characters. Season four also saw the introduction of Eve (portrayed by Inbar Lavi), further complicating Lucifer’s quest to self-understanding. While I would have liked a bit of an investigation into the initial form and unfolding of their relationship way back in the Garden of Eden, she was a really interesting element to introduce. Moreover, there was a complexity to her character that I appreciated. At times, this felt a little like inconsistent writing, but as much as perhaps it could have been handled with a little more elegance, the show made clear that she’s not a straight up bad person, and her motivations for playing to Lucifer’s darker elements is well elaborated and meaningfully considered. Props also to the show writers for not creating an intense rivalry and take-down-inducing hatred between Chloe and Eve, despite the love triangle which exists for so much of the season.

Other highlights across the season include episode 8, when Amenadiel is exposed to racism, witnessing with shock the violent treatment of a black boy by police officers. This subplot was powerful without overstating the point. The show doesn’t really seek to fulfil a social crusade, but this moment was a powerful one that was beautifully made.

In all, the season is an excellent one (I found episode two lagged a little, but that was the only point across the ten episodes when I wasn’t totally engaged). It’s well put together, it doesn’t pull its punches in looking at the emotional depths of its characters (see Ella’s crisis of faith, and Dan: “why does everybody let me get away with so much”), and it has a great soundtrack (look out for the cover of ‘Wonderwall’; the lyrics are perfectly suited to the moment within the episode).

Netflix has yet to announce whether it will renew the show for a season 5, but if this is the quality that will be produced with the backing of the streaming service, especially as showrunners have indicated they have a really exciting way to open season 5, please oh please let there be at least another season.

Little devils, we did it! Today it was announced that Netflix would be picking up Lucifer, which was cancelled by FOX last month.

Season three ended on quite the cliffhanger with creator Joe Henderson tweeting out after the axing that it “f*cking hurts” and apologised for frustrating fans. The very handsome devil is played by Tom Ellis who was “gutted” by the cancellation. “It fills me with great sadness to confirm the rumours that some of you have been asking. Fox has indeed cancelled #lucifer I’m so sorry guys,” he wrote at the time.

After the cancellation was announced, fans rushed to social media to share their anger over the news and their support for the series. Various Lucifer hashtags including #savelucifer and #renewlucifer trended several times, particularly on Twitter. Fans tweeted at Fox, Amazon, Netflix, and various other networks and streaming services in hopes they would make the decision to pick up the series. After being done previously with a few shows such as The Expanse and Brooklyn Nine Nine, fans were hopeful that someone would come to Lucy’s rescue. It was reported earlier this week that Amazon Studios were in talks, but now, here we are today with the news that Netflix has decided to pick it up instead. The first two seasons are already available on Netflix, and the third is sure to be added over the next few months.

The series is produced by Warner Bros. Television, which is also the studio behind Netflix’s upcoming reimagining of Sabrina the Teenage Witch, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. Netflix previously revived Warner Horizon’s Longmire after A&E cancelled it after Season 3, and has become known for resurrecting beloved properties including Arrested Development and Wet Hot American Summer.

It was only earlier this week that we posted an article in hopes of seeing the fantastic series picked up, which went completely crazy with Rachael Harris, Tom Ellis, Aimee Garcia, and other members from the cast and crew sharing our article. Naturally the fans flocked to our website to check out the article and share their love for the series. We were inundated with comments and it was absolutely stunning to read some of the comments, especially those written in other languages which just goes to show that Lucifer fans are all over the world!

The cast and crew all reacted on socials media and they are just as excited as us!

– Netflix has picked up Lucifer for a fourth season! Check out the news here! (16/6/18)
– Amazon Studios are currently in talks about whether they are interested in resurrecting the show! (12/6/18)

People like to tell me things. Those deep, dark, naughty, little desires that are on their minds.

So tell us, what is it that you really desire? What does your little fan heart truly desire?

Are you part of the #SaveLucifer campaign? If you love or like this show then you have to be! Unfortunately a couple of weeks ago FOX decided to cancel Lucifer, which is loved by fans worldwide. Of course the fans started to express their anger about the cancellation and so #SaveLucifer and #RenewLucifer began trending worldwide.

I’ve just been trying to tweet my thanks about your overwhelming response and I can’t because my twitter keeps crashing on my phone. #lucifer is trending #1 worldwide.

— tom ellis (@tomellis17) May 11, 2018

According to the FOX chairman Gary Newman, it was “a ratings-based decision […] We felt like performance-wise, we needed to make that change.” So this means that the other FOX drama shows had better ratings causing them to be renewed such as Gotham, which is being given a final short season to finish the series off properly. Unfortunately Lucifer fans have to live with a terrible cliffhanger and many unanswered questions.

People don’t arrive broken. They start with passion and yearning till something comes along that disabuses them of those notions.

You might think, “Well, they come and they go. Why are people so invested in saving one little TV show?”

Nowadays it’s rare that a TV show is as good as Lucifer. Every episode was interesting, fun, and didn’t seem repetitive. We see reboot after reboot, but what about some fresh ideas with interesting characters? Of course it’s not easy to write a story when so many supernatural, crime and drama TV shows already made. At some point, they can start to seem like they’re just telling the same story.

So what’s so good about Lucifer? The series tells the story of Lucifer Morningstar—the fallen angel and king of hell—who has had enough of punishing people and wants to be among them instead. He buys a club in LA called Lux and lives in the decadent penthouse about it.

Lucifer (played by Tom Ellis) is not interested in any godly affairs and not even his brother Amenadiel (D.B Woodside) can convince him to return to hell and his duty. Luci did not leave hell alone with Mazikeen (Lesley-Ann Brandt) by his side as not only his kick-ass bodyguard, but also his bartender.

Lucifer (played by Tom Ellis) is not interested in any godly affairs and not even his brother Amenadiel (D.B. Woodside) can convince him to return to hell and follow his duty. Luci did not leave hell alone. His leading demon Mazikeen (Lesley-Ann Brandt) came with him to earth and is not only his bodyguard but also his bartender. After a friend of his gets killed, he meets Detective Chloe Dekker (Lauren German) and her colleague and ex-husband Dan (Kevin Alejandro).

Lucifer may not be in hell anymore, but he still has his angelic yet devilish power in him and he can compel humans into telling him what they most desire. This leads to Lucifer becoming a police consultant and he starts to work with Chloe on various cases. That being said, Lucifer certainly has some major daddy issues and he finally faces those when he starts to go to therapy with Dr Linda Martin (Rachael Harris).

The series is based on the Sandman comics published by Vertigo Comics and written by Neil Gaiman, Sam Keith and Mike Dringenberg. The comics are telling the story of Dream (or Morpheus) who is one of the seven Endless, which also includes Destiny, Death, Desire, Despair, Delirium and Destruction. The comic series is famous for Gaiman’s “anthropomorphic personification and metaphysical entities combined with mythology and history in a horror setting”. Back in 2013, WB obtained the rights for a movie adaptation starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

The character of Lucifer started as a side character who quickly became a fan favourite and therefore he received his own spin-off comic written by Mike Carey. In the comics, Lucifer has a piano bar and he’s interested in exploring the free will of humans.

You cruel manipulative bastard. This is all part of your plan it’s all just a game to you isn’t it?

Hey, well, I know punishment and he did not deserve that he followed just stupid rules and still wasn’t good enough so what does it take to please you? Break your rules and you fall. Follow them and you still lose. Doesn’t matter whether you’re a sinner, doesn’t matter whether you’re a saint. Nobody can win so what’s the point? What’s the bloody point? – (Source)

We all know how it was written in the Bible and the stories surrounding him with Lucifer rejected by God for questioning his love for human beings and cast out of heaven. He then became the King of Hell and punishes souls of those who have not been good on Earth. So essentially, the devil is pure evil and you better not cross his path! But is he truly? Maybe he is just misunderstood or maybe all he wanted was just some attention from his father…

This is exactly what the show explores with the devil as the charming guy from next door and not interested in hurting you?

Filled with the supernatural, crime, comedy, romance and some great music, we see a devil who likes to party with no problem with being bisexual and lives for free will. All Lucifer wants is to be accepted—by his father, his brothers and sisters, his new human friends. So you actually can be friends with the devil and you may even start to love him. The show give you the possibility to explore this thought.

One of the core plot lines is the relationship of the angelic family. The only family member who is in constant contact with him is his brother Amenadiel. They may be thousands of years old, but still they cannot live without each other. They have a strong bond despite not wanting to admit it. The big elephant in the room is: what are Gods plans for Lucifer? Why did he not come to Lucifer and clear all the misunderstanding between them?

Lucifer is a TV show that does well in combining different genres to create an innovative new story. Featuring a great cast who supports one another with a strong love for the characters they play.

If FOX does not answer to the #SaveLucifer movement then could it be picked up by another network?

The CW already has a lot of comic book TV shows on their schedule and Lucifer would fit perfectly. They somewhat saved Constantine after NBC cancelled the series after one season by giving him a few episodes in Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow. However, The CW released a statement that they won’t be picking up the series.

Netflix? Sure, a great idea and fingers crossed that they are already in contact with the people in charge. Outside the USA, Amazon Prime had the rights to show Lucifer a day after airing in America so maybe they could take it over completely.

So let’s all channel Ella Lopez (played by Aimee Garcia) and hashtag like crazy until your phone burns up and then just change to your laptop, tablet and so forth.

Because, let’s be honest: Who does not need a singing and piano playing devil in his life?

In the Season 2 finale, we saw Lucifer (Tom Ellis) cast his mother into a neutral dimension and just as he was about to confess his identity to Chloe (Lauren German) over the phone, he was whisked away to the desert where he awakens to find his wings have returned. Now Lucifer will face an even greater challenge – finding out who kidnapped him, and why his angel wings are back.

The third season will see Lucifer suffer an identity crisis now that his wings have returned, especially since he is still a devil with angel wings. There will also be a new face joining our cast this season played by Smallville actor Tom Welling in his first return to television since the popular CW series ended in 2011 after 10 seasons. Welling will be playing LAPD Lieutenant Marcus Pierce who rubs everyone the wrong way with his strong belief in justice, but his character could end up being a potential love interest for Chloe.

Originally Lucifer Season 2 consisted of 18 episodes until FOX gave the series an additional four episodes which were meant to air for the second season, but showrunner Joe Henderson decided to place them in Season 3. These four episodes will serve as a ‘mini-series’, but will be spread throughout Season 3 making this season 22 episodes long.

If you haven’t heard of this delightful series, it is based upon the characters created by Neil Gaiman, Sam Kieth and Mike Dringenberg for Vertigo, from DC Entertainment. Lucifer is the story of the original fallen angel who becomes bored and unhappy as the Lord of Hell, Lucifer Morningstar. He instead abandons his throne and retires to Los Angeles, where he teams up with LAPD detective Chloe Decker to take down criminals.

His character is charming, charismatic and devilishly handsome, and Lucifer has a way of manipulating people into confessing their deepest, darkest secrets, which helps Chloe deliver justice. But Lucifer quickly discovered that Chloe makes him vulnerable. When he’s around her, the devil can bleed like anyone else. It’s a truly scary realisation that doesn’t sit well with his best friend, Mazikeen aka Maze (Lesley-Ann Brandt), a fierce demon in the form of a beautiful young woman. Maze wants nothing more than to leave Los Angeles and get back to her life in Hell, but Lucifer is having one helluva good time with the mortals, and she is not about to leave him behind.
