The first trailer for Marvel’s The Defenders has been released and it looks promising with it packed full of action, banter and a fantastic cast!

Marvel’s The Defenders follows Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), Luke Cage (Mike Colter) and Iron Fist (Finn Jones) who come together after their standalone series. A quartet of singular heroes with one common goal – to save New York City. This is the story of four solitary figures, burdened with their own personal challenges, who realize they just might be stronger when teamed together.

The series will pick up after the events of Iron Fist and will feature Sigourney Weaver as Alexandra, who will be the big bad for the series. The new trailer also confirms the resurrection of Elodie Yung’s Elektra as she helps kick down our team in a mandatory hallway fight scene.

Starring Krysten Ritter, Mike Colter, Finn Jones, Charlie Cox, Sigourney Weaver, Elodie Yung, Rosario Dawson and Jessica Henwick.

The Defenders hits Netflix on August 18th.
