Produced by National Geographic Studios, actor Jeff Goldblum brings his take on everyday things, such as sneakers, jewellery, ice cream, tattoos, Korean barbecue, square dancing, synchronized swimming, and much more, in this new Disney+ series.

Through the prism of Jeff Goldblum’s always inquisitive and highly entertaining mind, nothing is as it seems in this new series. Each episode is centered around something we all love — like sneakers or ice cream — as Jeff pulls the thread on these deceptively familiar objects and unravels a wonderful world of astonishing connections, fascinating science and history, amazing people, and a whole lot of surprising big ideas and insights.

Jeff Goldblum spoke about the series during its panel at D23 Expo in August, where they also released the trailer.

“The premise of the show is, because it’s the world according to Jeff Goldblum, it’s me with all the information and experience that my life has entailed up until this point now, plopping me I go the world of exploration of one thing or another.”

“I have whatever associations I have or past experiences with it, and that’s it and then I kind of encounter interesting people around these subjects and you see me, you go along with me, if you’re so inclined, and we have this experience together. It’s all a surprise to me. I don’t even meet the people, see the places, before they turn on the camera. It’s all me kind of like a chick popping out of its shell.”

The World According To Jeff Goldblum, which consists of 12 half-hour episodes, will be available November 12th on Disney+ in the US, Canada, and the Netherlands and November 19th in Australia and New Zealand.

The highly anticipated and long-awaited live-action Star Wars series, The Mandalorian, is here! After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. The Mandalorian is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic.

The series is set seven years after Return of the Jedi and it will focus on all-new characters. Game of Thrones actor Pedro Pascal, who played Oberyn Martell, takes on the title role who he describes as “a mysterious lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy. Some might say he has questionable moral character”. The series characters have been kept mostly underwraps, but Gino Carano stars as ex-rebel shock trooper Cara Dune, Carl Weathers as Greef Carga, and Taika Waititi as an assassin droid IG-11.

The Mandalorian is one of four series within the Star Wars franchise that are coming to Disney+. The streaming service will also release the seventh season of The Clone Wars, along with a Rogue One prequel series following rebel spy Cassian Andor and will see both Diego Luna and Alan Tudyk reprise their roles from the 2016 prequel movie Rogue One. Disney also announced at D23 that Ewan McGregor would be returning as Obi-Wan Kenobi in a new series, which is slated to start shooting in 2020.

The series stars Pedro Pascal (Game of Thrones), Gina Carano (Deadpool), Carl Weathers (Rocky), Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad), Emily Swallow (Supernatural), Omid Abtahi (American Gods), Werner Herzog, Taika Waititi (Thor:Ragnarok), Ming-Na Wen (Agents of SHIELD), and Nick Nolte (Warrior). The first ever live-action Star Wars series is written and executive-produced by Emmy®-nominated producer and actor Jon Favreau, with Dave Filoni (Star Wars: The Clone Wars) directing the first episode.

The Mandalorian premieres November 12th on Disney+ with episodes released weekly. Plus, Jon Favreau said he’s already writing season 2 and that he hopes to direct one of the episodes!
