Fans of the CW drama, Riverdale are ecstatic that the show has returned with its second season after a thrilling first season.

Last season was a high-speed ride from the beginning to the end and this season promises much more of that drama, so welcome back to Riverdale where despite its attractive residents, and hilarious one-liners, it’s a “haunted town.”

Jughead (Cole Sprouse) in Riverdale 2.01 ‘Chapter Fourteen: A Kiss Before Dying’

Our story picks up with Archie who’s attempting to “outrace death” as he races his father to the hospital after being shot in the Season 1 finale. Upon arrival, Fred is rushed into surgery as he begins to imagine taking a photo of Archie and the gang on graduation day, but they remind Fred that he actually died. Meanwhile, Betty’s mom is being judgy especially when Betty admits she and Jughead went back to FP’s trailer. Mrs. Cooper asks, “if that beanie-wearing cad defiled you”, which is a no as they were interrupted by Southside Serpents. Question: who shares this with their mother?

Thankfully, Archie calls Betty, who then updates Veronica who is in the middle of drinking a mimosa filled with the Cristal her mom bought for Hiram (apparently, that was not a good move). Betty then calls Jughead (who has a motorcycle now) and then they all meet up with Archie.

Mrs. Cooper uses Fred’s shooting as a chance to blame the Serpents and Archie calls his mother before talking to Sheriff Keller. He describes the shooter, but it’s obvious Archie is hiding something. Archie then tells Jughead that his dad had fired the Serpents and Jughead goes to ask them questions.

Fred is out of surgery, but no one is allowed to see him yet so Archie agrees to go home to clean up and change. Betty tells Veronica to go home with Archie so he can change and clean up. At the house, Veronica tries to convince him to shower except he wants to walk his dog, which makes him think about how much he needs his dad and Veronica tears up at his story.

Upon their return, Archie showers (with his cast which was probably a bad idea) and Veronica decides to join him, saying that he probably needs company. Despite Archie’s dad being in the hospital, Archie doesn’t object and they decide to have a steamy moment in the shower.

Veronica (Camila Mendes) and Archie (KJ Apa) in Riverdale 2.01 ‘Chapter Fourteen: A Kiss Before Dying’

Afterwards, Veronica lays out all of Fred’s personal belongings from the hospital and when Archie can’t find his dad’s wallet, he yells at her and tells her to leave. Veronica continues to try to be the good girlfriend, so she refuses and instead holds Archie as he cries. She then asks Betty and Jughead to look for his wallet at Pops whilst Archie is called to the police station to see a lineup, but of course, the shooter isn’t there (cops can’t find people that fast no matter how small the town).

Veronica (Camila Mendes) and Archie (KJ Apa) in Riverdale 2.01 ‘Chapter Fourteen: A Kiss Before Dying’

Betty and Jughead don’t the wallet and instead get a dramatic speech from Pop about an “angel of death,” which needless to say scares both teenagers. Pop offers them a meal and Jughead eagerly accepts though Betty says she isn’t hungry. She voices her concerns as Jughead bites into a burger and tells him that she is worried about him being closer to the Serpents and living with a foster family. However, he won’t stay with them and will remain at FP’s trailer so he can feel closer to his dad no matter what he’s done (awe Jughead).

Jughead (Cole Sprouse) and Betty (Lili Reinhart) in Riverdale 2.01 ‘Chapter Fourteen: A Kiss Before Dying’

Cheryl arrives at the hospital with her mother, who somehow ended up severely burned (last time we checked, she was fine but whatever). She tells a tale of a breeze knocking over a candle while she was sleeping and Mrs Blossom rushed in to save her life. Cheryl later threatens her mother that if she tells anyone the truth, Cheryl will reveal “what really happened in the barn with daddy”. Cheryl is done with the ‘abuse’ she’s had to put up with and it clearly shows.

Veronica accuses her of hurting Fred and not being innocent. and honestly, Hermione is acting very suspicious. Hermione doesn’t appreciate the accusation and tells her to get back in line with their family.

Veronica refocuses her attention on Archie and buys a Fred a new wallet for now. Archie then finally tells the entire story of the shooting and says he was a coward after Fred was shot and didn’t go after the shooter. Archie is then allowed to see his father, but Cheryl is there, which is very suspicious. Cheryl kisses Fred on the head and thanks Archie for giving her the “kiss of life” at Sweetwater River and says she’s giving it to Fred (that’s not how it works Cheryl but A for effort).

Archie talks to Fred telling him that he needs to wake up and that he’s crazy about Veronica. This leads to Fred imagining the wedding of Archie and Veronica until the shooter comes down the aisle and Fred dives in front of Archie causing him to wake up. Archie promises to protect him and it’s a promise he intends to keep. At the end of the episode, he is sitting in his entryway with a bat in his hand.

Betty promises to support Jughead no matter what and they kiss. When Jughead gets home he finds the Serpents have beaten a man, who didn’t end up knowing anything. They inform him, “with or without the jacket, you’re a Serpent”, which was slightly concerning. Veronica arrives home to find her father there, who thinks her drinking his Cristal was “so disrespectful,” which was unintentionally the funniest line of the episode. She welcomes him home, but then makes it clear she believes they were behind Fred’s shooting.

Ms. Grundy (Sarah Habel) in Riverdale 2.01 ‘Chapter Fourteen: A Kiss Before Dying’

The most shocking moment of the episode was when the shooter makes his way to Greendale where Ms. Grundy has found another student to seduce. When the student leaves and she’s alone, the shooter sneaks up behind her and strangles her (in a very bloody way) with a bow.

Overall, the episode was enjoyable and as usual, there were great one-liners and humour to lighten the darker tone of this episode and from what I know, they are planning on making this season a lot darker overall.

This week has been all about the return of The CW’s television series, and the 6th season of Arrow is another one that is about to premiere!

The season finale left us with a huge cliffhanger: who survived the big island explosion? Prometheus killed himself, which set off his own kill switch, causing Oliver (Stephen Amell) and his son William to watch Lian Yu blow up with all of Oliver’s companions and William’s mother stuck on the island somewhere.

Luckily, we will know who survived the explosion by the end of the premiere episode along with a six-month jump forward after the events of the finale. This season will also see Oliver play a bigger role in William’s life, which sounds as though his mother might have died.

There will also be a slight shift within the series as Oliver was all about moving on from the past last season so the new season will see Oliver no longer being reflective, and instead, leaving the past in the past. However, this doesn’t mean we will lose the flashbacks, but they won’t be in every episode.

What else can we expect from Arrow? Well there will be that huge four-show crossover, Katie Cassidy returns as series regular but as Earth-2’s Black Siren, Rick Gonzalez (Rene) and Juliana Harkavy (Dinah) have been promoted to series regulars, and Oliver’s ties to the Green Arrow will be investigated by FBI agent Samantha Watson (Sydelle Noel).

On the note of villains, Kirk Acevedo joins in a recurring role as kung-fu fighter Richard Dragon and Liam Hall has been cast as Slade Wilson’s son with Slade (Manu Bennett) returning.

Season 6 of Arrow premieres at 9pm ET on The CW.

Our handsome demon-hunting Winchester brothers are back for the 13th season of The CW’s hit series, Supernatural, and they’re adding parenting to their list of skills!

The previous season ended with a fiery finale leaving Castiel (Misha Collins) dead, Mary (Samantha Smith) trapped in an alternate world, and Lucifer’s son born into the world. At the end of the finale, Sam (Jared Padalecki) discovered the newborn to be an aged-up version of Jack (Alexander Calvert), which will now cause the Winchester’s to don their parenting caps whilst they play parent to the actual spawn of Satan himself.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, co-showrunner Robert Singer said the arrival of Jack will help to refocus the series after the boys just spent the last season raising hell. “We just felt there’s so much opportunity with Jack. It’s a big swing again, but somehow we always manage to keep the show grounded in its own reality.”

Co-showrunner Andrew Dabb also spoke about the shift in the series. “Last season was about the guys being kids, and this season is about being parents, to a degree,” Dabb explained. “To have [Sam and Dean] confronted by this kid who is at once scary and charming gives us a chance to show a different side of the guys, and that’s always a great thing, especially 13 seasons in.”

He continued on the two Winchesters as parents, “If Dean had a kid, what would that look like? If Sam had a kid, what would that look like? The joke is that it’s My Two Dads, Hell Edition.”

But despite this newcomer, the brothers will still be experiencing the usual loss that continues to stare them in the face, especially with Crowley, Castiel, and Mary gone. Jensen Ackles explained it to be a “vicious cycle of loss and grief” for the boys. However, Padalecki said this season won’t be “going full-mope.”

What else can we expect from the upcoming season? Well a Scooby Doo-themed episode for starters, along with the eventual return of Castiel (in some shape or form), and testing the waters for its spin-off series and a long-awaited animated episode.

Catch the Season 13 premiere of Supernatural at 8pm ET on The CW.

After the events of the first season, every aspect of The CW’s Riverdale gets ramped up in Season 2.

The series abruptly ended after Archie’s (KJ Apa) father, Fred Andrews (Luke Perry), was shot by an armed robber at Pop’s diner. The new season will pick up right where it left off with Archie rushing his father to the hospital, which will see Archie go ‘dark’ after the incident with revenge, darkness, and violence on the table.

Archie won’t be the only one heading to the dark side with the entire series taking on more of a darker approach, especially with Jughead (Cole Sprouse) now joining the Southside Serpents. Veronica’s (Camilla Mendes) father, Hiram Lodge (Mark Consuelos), will be joining the cast and he’ll certainly stir up issues for his family.

There will also be a few changes and additions with Charles Melton (American Horror Story) taking over the role of Reggie from Ross Butler. Also joining the cast is Hart Denton as Chic Cooper, Betty’s long-lost older brother, and Brit Morgan (Supergirl) as Penny Peabody, an attorney who prefers her clients to pay her in favours rather than cash, which Jughead will discover.

Stirring up trouble for Bughead’s relationship is Toni Topaz (Vanessa Morgan, Finding Carter), a bisexual Southside Serpent who is almost the female version of Jughead. Another exciting improvement is there will be plenty more of Kevin (Casey Cott), especially in Episode 3, which will show what he gets up to when he’s not hanging out on the outskirts of the fab four.

What else can we expect? The birth of Polly’s (Tiera Skovbye) twins, Veronica’s ex Nick St Clair (Graham Phillips, The Good Wife) drops by, a most likely dream wedding sequence, and plenty more with Season 2 being made up of 22 episodes, making it 9 episodes longer than its first.

Riverdale Season 2 premieres on The CW at 8pm ET and for international fans, catch the series weekly on Netflix.

The team of outcasts and misfits return for Season 3 of The CW’s, Legends of Tomorrow. In the new season, it looks like our legends continue to screw up time, but for the better.

In the newly released Season 3 sizzle reel (watch it below), it includes a lot of new footage, including the return of Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough) and what looks to be an appearance from Kid Flash (Keiynan Lonsdale).

This season will follow the consequences of breaking time with elements from the past, present, and future now a jumbled mess. The Legends will deal with outrunning Rip’s new Time Bureau and the return of Damien Darhk and his all-new Legion of Doom with a mysterious mystical figure thrown into the mix of issues they’ll have to overcome.

Just like the past seasons, our group will encounter some interesting moments in time and in this season, the Legends visit an early version of P.T Barnum’s circus with the addition of a saber-toothed tiger followed by 1960’s Vietnam where they come face-to-face with Gorilla Grodd.

Legends will also introduce a new team member by the name of Zari Adrianna Tomaz (Tala Ashe), a hacktivist from the future who doesn’t want to only fix time, she also wants them to make it better. Another exciting addition to the cast and season is Matt Ryan’s Constantine who will pop up in episodes 9 and 10, however, little details are known about his role only that he will be performing an exorcism on someone.

With Rip hiding secrets, Damien’s new group of baddies, and the Legends still on the run from the Time Bureau, it seems this season will be just as much fun as the others!

Catch the Season 3 premiere of Legends of Tomorrow today on The CW at 9/8c.

The speedster returns to our screens for the Season 4 premiere of The Flash on The CW. The Flash will be “reborn” this season and it will be taking on a much lighter tone unlike its previous season.

In Season 3, Barry Allen and the rest of The Flash cast saw a mostly devastating reaction occur after Barry went back in time to save his mother and thus creating the Flashpoint timeline. It was here that Barry caught a glimpse of Savitar killing his beloved Iris, so himself and his team spent the majority of the back half of Season 3 attempting to change history (again) and to stop this new speedster.

Eventually the team discovered Savitar to be a futuristic and emotionally damaged version of Barry. But after the big defeat, Barry was forced to sacrifice himself to the Speed Force in order to save their world.

However, despite his sacrifice, Barry will be coming back very quickly in Season 4 and donning his trademark enthusiastic nature like he was back in Season 1. This season will also be different with the group facing their first non-speedster big bad who comes in the form of Clifford DeVoe. Also known as The Thinker, this character is played by Neil Sandilands (The 100) who uses his technologically enhanced genius to outsmart our favourite speedster.

Joining the Season 4 baddies is Ralph Dibny/The Elongated Man (Hartley Sawyer) in a recurring role beginning in Episode 4, along with The Mechanic (Kim Engelbrecht), Amunet Black/Blacksmith (Katee Sackhoff), and Gypsy’s dad, Breacher (Danny Trejo).

Another few exciting plots and scenes we will see this season include another four-part Arrowverse crossover, which will include Barry and Iris’ wedding; Caitlin Snow returns but she’s not the Caitlin we all know and love; Cisco and Gypsy’s relationship continues to develop, but with her dad coming into the mix, who know what will happen; and lastly, Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) will be dropping by in Episode 5 for a bachelorette party!

The Flash Season 4 premieres today on The CW at 8/7c.

After the events of Season 2, the Kara Danvers we knew ceases to exist as she takes on her true identity of being just Supergirl in Season 3 of The CW’s Supergirl.

Now the “Girl of Steel”, which also doubles as the season premiere title, Kara struggles to come to terms after she was forced to send Mon-El into space to save his life. Despite being near-invincible, our Supergirl dons a new armour in order to hide her emotions and this will see her embrace her Kryptonian heritage more at the start of the new season.

In an interview with EW, Melissa Benoist explained her character’s situation.

“She’s really fragile at the top of the season, but only people closest to her will see that, because she’s almost solidified on the exterior and is really trying to push down whatever pain she’s felt about losing Mon-El,” Benoist says. “In turn, she has made this massive decision to say goodbye to her humanity and really embrace being an alien. We hear her say quite a bit in the first five episodes, ‘I’m not a human, I come from a different planet, so this doesn’t apply to me.’”

Just like with any new season, there’s plenty of new faces and threats for our heroes and sidekicks to come up against, including Heroes alum Adrian Pasdar. He will be playing the role of this season’s main villain, Morgan Edge, who is a ruthless real estate developer who will stop at nothing to get what he wants. His character will obviously go up against Supergirl, but also Lena Luthor (Katie McGrath) which we will see in the first episode.

In the Season 2 finale, it was revealed another pod escaped Krypton’s destruction and it housed a bio-engineered weapon named Reign, also known as a Worldkiller. Odette Annable will be playing this character, however, she will gradually grow into the role of Reign and will debut as a single mother named Samantha Arias.

A change of face for Alura, previously played by Laura Benanti, will be taken over by Smallville alum Erica Durance, so we can expect to see much more of Kara’s birth mother this season.

Supergirl returns at 8pm on The CW.

“It was like the angel of death had come to Riverdale.”

After an epic cliffhanger in Season 1 of Riverdale, San Diego Comic Con is here to further tease us with the upcoming new season! The second season will pick up right where it left off after Archie’s father, Fred Andrews, was shot at Pop’s, which may not have been accidentally… But we will know who shot Fred by the end of the first episode.

Thankfully we won’t have to wait too long for the new season, which started filming a couple of weeks ago and returns back to our screens in October. Jumping from 13 to 22 episodes will change the series immensely, but it will give the second season a chance to explore ‘Dark Archie’, as the cast refer to him.

“There’s a switch that goes off, and I think it’s a different side of Archie we haven’t seen yet,” said KJ Apa who plays Archie.

In the short video, Archie carries his father into the hospital while the rest of the gang arrives, and Archie tries to figure out what happened. Pop Tate (Alvin Sanders) says, “It was like the angel of death had come to Riverdale.” Then cuts to Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch) at the bedside of her mother whose face is covered in bandages. “Things are going to be different now, Mommy,” she says. “You’ll see.”

So it seems Archie won’t be only one exploring their dark side more and Lily Reinhart, who plays Betty, says “Last season we saw some dark Betty but this season it’s more like tortured soul Betty.”

The new season will also feature new faces such Mark Consuelos, who will play Veronica’s dad, and Charles Melton, who will be replacing Ross Butler as Reggie. Also joining is Vanessa Morgan as Toni Topaz, an openly bisexual character from the comics who will stir things up for the characters.

Riverdale Season 2 returns October 12th.

Check out the new sneak peek and tell us if you’re excited for the next season in the comments below!

After three long weeks, Riverdale is back! Last time we visited the small town of Riverdale, we learned more about Jughead and his family as well as seeing the gang search for Polly so a good ol’ tug-o-war could begin between the Blossoms and Coopers. In this week’s episode titled ‘The Outsiders’, we saw most of the story divided into the boys and then the girls. Let’s dive in shall we?

So the episode opens with flashbacks of Jason and Polly fighting, discovering she is pregnant, getting engaged and then also planning to run away. We then shift to the present time where Polly is talking to Sheriff Keller at the Lodge household about everything that led up to Jason’s death. According to Polly, Jason went to the Southside Serpents who gave him drugs to transport in exchange for money to make their grand escape.

The gang are then at school talking about the latest goss when Veronica announces she wants to host a baby shower for Polly in an attempt to cheer her up and hopefully unite the families. Mrs Cooper turns up at the school and demands to talk to both Betty and Veronica as they’ve known where Polly has been the whole time, uh oh.

Meanwhile, Fred Andrews is having trouble with his development as the Blossom family offered his crew a better job and so nothing is happening and even more money is going down the drain, money that he just can’t afford to lose. Hermione is worried about her new man and when Veronica tells her mother about the baby shower, she’s not so sure as she doesn’t think it’s a good time to try to get the Blossoms and Coopers together, especially under her roof. Veronica then asks her to at least speak to Mrs Cooper to try to get her to come to Polly’s baby shower. The two mothers talk and Hermione tells her she should go or she’ll regret it (in a non-threatening way, of course).

Archiekins sees his father is struggling and so he rallies his high school friends to help out at the construction site. After they finish sweating for the afternoon, the begin to head out when two men destroy the generator and also bash one of Archie’s high school friends when he gets in the way. Naturally this isn’t cool with Archie and he begins to get riled up about the situation. He vents to Valerie (who is back again after being forgotten last week) and then comes up with a plan to see if the vandals are part of the Southside Serpents. He asks Jughead to join him, but he doesn’t want to go and thinks Archie shouldn’t either, especially since Jughead’s dad would most likely be there.

Their plan involves using Kevin’s boyfriend Joaquin (remember the one he shared some steamy kisses with at the drive-in?) to get into the gang’s local hangout to see if they can recognise the vandals. Archie then almost gets the snot punched out of him, but Jughead’s father tells them to stop and now Archie knows he is a Serpent.

While the guys are trying to be all ‘manly’, the girls (and Jughead, bless him carrying that cake stand) are at Polly’s baby shower, which receives a few surprise guests. First to show up is Mrs Cooper and then Cheryl with a brand new pram and Mrs Blossom and Grandma Blossom in tow. Cheryl being Cheryl says she wants to be the godmother (but is kidding, but is totally not) except Betty has already been asked, although there can always be two? They would certainly be polar opposite godparents! It may even work as Grandma Blossom uses a crystal to determine the gender of the baby, and according to her gypsy blood, Polly is having twins! My issue with this is, surely Polly would know!? She may have been on the run for a day, but while at the home for troubled teens, they would have given her check-ups? She can not have seen a doctor that whole time?

Anyway, the drama begins when Archie turns up and announces to the whole gang that Jughead’s dad is a Serpent. But the real good stuff starts when Mrs Cooper goes on the attack during gift time and a catfight between the mommas begins! Unfortunately though, the teenagers are no fun and they stop their parents from fighting.

Later on, Mrs Cooper apologises to Polly and asks her to come home, but Polly is uncertain as she knows how her father feels, especially since he booked her in to get an abortion. This is news to Mrs Cooper’s ears and you can just see how the information cracks her and you just know a storm is about to wreak havoc!

The Riverdale crew are full of apologies as Jughead apologises to Betty since he didn’t tell her that his father is a Serpent. The two then head out to see Jughead’s dad to discuss the drugs which the Serpents gave Jason and while he mostly dismisses it all, it seems ‘Bughead’ lives on as they share a sweet kiss when they leave. Jughead also apologises to Archie about not sharing that tidbit with him either, and the two boys let their bromance live to fight another day.

Mrs Cooper then confronts her husband about Polly’s allegation and I can’t help but say again, I freaking love this character. She goes from 0 to 100 in a millisecond and when Mr Cooper says Polly won’t be moving back in because he won’t allow Blossom blood in the fam, she loses her shit and tells him to get out. “And I think by now you know what I’m capable of.”—Mrs Cooper is unleashing the crazy, but this little piece of juicy dialogue seems as though it’s a ploy to look at her as Jason’s killer again. I don’t think she is, but I definitely want to know what she’s capable of, please.

Now, for the exciting part which leaves us hanging at the end of each episode. We’re back at Jughead’s dad who gives Jason’s jacket to Kevin’s boyfriend Joaquin to hide, who then says he thinks Kevin is really into him. I hope to The CW gods that Joaquin develops feelings for Kevin and betrays the Serpents instead of seeing Kevin hurt.

Jughead’s dad then turns up at Fred’s construction site to offer himself and his crew to work for Fred. He then talks to Hermione saying the vandals are most likely Hyriam’s men because he knows something is going on between Fred and her. But I don’t trust Jughead’s dad, obviously.

After many discussions and much pondering, Polly decides to leave the Lodge household but she doesn’t head home. Instead Polly is seen walking into Thorn Hill, a.k.a the gothic Blossom household and they are beyond chuffed to have her. #BlossomsForTheWin

Overall, this episode was decent but not great. I’m liking the reduction in pop-culture references, but I have a feeling were getting ready for an onslaught any episode now. I also wish there was a way for the show to be consistent, such as how Valerie wasn’t in last week’s episode and then pops up again this week. The same can be said for Cheryl’s absence after the funeral which nobody really referred to at all. Obviously this would be a huge issue if they tried to give every character screen time in each episode, but a simple mention or clarification when they return would be great as I just don’t like how characters are used to get one of the main characters from Point A to B. Although that’s typically their purpose it just becomes a little frustrating when the show makes their absence quite obvious.

Anyway, it’ll be interesting to see what fun Polly gets up to at the Blossom house next week! Riverdale returns next week with ‘La Grande Illusion’.

After eight years and 171 episodes, The Vampire Diaries is coming to an end.

The Vampire Diaries premiered in 2009, which was right in the middle of the worldwide vampire craze and saw other book adaptions, such as Twilight and True Blood, satisfying the world’s love for vamps.

The series has definitely been a roller-coaster with many up’s and down’s, and it has also come a long way since the cringe-worthy pilot and first season.

Vampire Diaries has had all the essential drama elements from the love triangle between a human girl and two vampire brothers, to the suspense and shocking twists and turns including numerous deaths for the same character (yup, we’re talking Bonnie Bennett).

Of course we can’t forget to mention all the different supernatural creatures from doppelgängers and werewolves to witches, hybrids and sirens, just to name a few. Some we loved, some we loved to hate such as the original vampires, who ended up with their own spin-off series, The Originals.

So how will the series end? But more importantly, will it do the show justice? This last season has felt a little scrambled as the main plot didn’t feel present in every episode. Maybe it’s just the show is tired or they’re too busy wrapping everything up in a shorter season (16 episodes). They’ve brought back multiple characters such as Tyler Lockwood, only to have him killed off. In the previous episode, we saw Vicki and Kelly Donovan return to do Katherine’s bidding. It seems like the show and this season is all about giving each character once last hurrah before wrapping, especially with a few more people (Jeremy and Elena’s real dad) coming back in this final episode.

We know Elena is back for the final episode, which felt obvious as how could you not finish the show and bring back a main character from her two season slumber. Either that or they would have had to kill her off with one of the many attacks her coffin has faced. We also know Elena will be attending a funeral for a major character. Now many think it will be the obvious choice of being Bonnie, however, surely she’s had enough of death by now? Next up is Stefan and Caroline, and if it will be either of this pair, it has to be Stefan. Then there’s Matt Donovan, is he classed as a major character? I feel like it would be sad to see him go, as he’s the only human to have made it through eight seasons, so that only leaves Damon Salvatore.

Could they really kill Damon off just as the series ends and Elena finally wakes up? Will it be Katherine who delivers the final blow? If it is Damon, they’re taking a page straight out of True Blood‘s series finale where Sookie loses Bill and then a flash-forward is shown of her living a normal life. Perhaps Elena may just end up with her original beau, Matt Donovan. If this is the case, I can guarantee there will be many disgruntled fans, just as there was for the True Blood finale. Despite everyone’s reluctance over love triangles, you do want to see someone get the girl, especially after many years of watching them.

While my love for The Vampire Diaries has wavered due to both the story and myself growing up and losing interest in the vampire world, I feel obligated to see it through and learn how it ends. It used to be one of those shows were I adored everything about it and would devote my attention fully to it, but now it’s more so playing in the background while I do something else. Regardless of this, I’ll definitely be watching and posting a review of the series finale after it airs. I more than likely will shed a tear or two as well.

Here’s hoping somebody writes in their journal just for those ‘feels’. Stefan and Elena, we’re looking at you. So get ready to say goodbye to Mystic Falls. The two-hour event kicks off with an hour-long retrospective special about the series followed by the series finale.
