We are delighted to be revealing the cover for Esme Symes-Smith’s Sir Callie and the Witch’s War. In the third book of this thrilling fantasy series a twelve-year-old nonbinary knight-in-training, a reluctant crown prince, a fierce young witch, and her troubled twin brother fight for the heart of their kingdom in a medieval world of dragons and magic.
Releasing on October 29th 2024, Sir Callie and the Witch’s War can be pre-ordered now or through indie bookstore The Novel Neighbor.
Read on to discover the synopsis and cover, but first, here’s what Esme thinks of their cover!
‘SIR CALLIE AND THE WITCH’S WAR is not just Callie’s story, and when we started thinking about the cover I knew I wanted Elowen and Edwyn right there a long side them, depicting how the siblings—so similar in many ways—react to their own power. For Elowen, magic is strength and a weapon to be wielded. To Edwyn, magic is fearful and fragile. I love how artist, Kate Sheridan, captured two vastly different experiences of the same thing—an aspect of life that continues to fascinate and inspire me.
Beautiful. ❤️
