Season 6 of The CW’s ‘Arrow’ Premieres!

This week has been all about the return of The CW’s television series, and the 6th season of Arrow is another one that is about to premiere!

The season finale left us with a huge cliffhanger: who survived the big island explosion? Prometheus killed himself, which set off his own kill switch, causing Oliver (Stephen Amell) and his son William to watch Lian Yu blow up with all of Oliver’s companions and William’s mother stuck on the island somewhere.

Luckily, we will know who survived the explosion by the end of the premiere episode along with a six-month jump forward after the events of the finale. This season will also see Oliver play a bigger role in William’s life, which sounds as though his mother might have died.

There will also be a slight shift within the series as Oliver was all about moving on from the past last season so the new season will see Oliver no longer being reflective, and instead, leaving the past in the past. However, this doesn’t mean we will lose the flashbacks, but they won’t be in every episode.

What else can we expect from Arrow? Well there will be that huge four-show crossover, Katie Cassidy returns as series regular but as Earth-2’s Black Siren, Rick Gonzalez (Rene) and Juliana Harkavy (Dinah) have been promoted to series regulars, and Oliver’s ties to the Green Arrow will be investigated by FBI agent Samantha Watson (Sydelle Noel).

On the note of villains, Kirk Acevedo joins in a recurring role as kung-fu fighter Richard Dragon and Liam Hall has been cast as Slade Wilson’s son with Slade (Manu Bennett) returning.

Season 6 of Arrow premieres at 9pm ET on The CW.
