Based on the comic book series, Syfy’s Vagrant Queen is described as a “fun, violent, snarky, space opera.”
Vagrant Queen follows Elida from child queen to orphaned outcast, as she scavenges the treacherous corners of the galaxy, always one step ahead of the Republic government out to extinguish her bloodline. When her old friend Isaac shows up claiming her mother Xevelyn is still alive, they head off with their new ally, Amae, to stage a rescue that will take her back into the perilous heart of her former kingdom and up against a deadly foe from her childhood, Commander Lazaro.
Starring Adriyan Rae (Light as a Feather) as Elida, Tim Rozon (Wynonna Earp) as Isaac, Alex McGregor (Blood Drive) as Amae the mechanic, and Paul du Toit (Maze Runner: The Death Cure) as Lazaro. The series is produced by Blue Ice Pictures (Spinning Out, Leprechaun Returns), along with Vault Comics and Dynamic Television (Creepshow, Van Helsing). British-Canadian director Jem Garrard (Cooking with Love, Mech-X4) will serve as the series showrunner.
Vagrant Queen premieres March 27th on Syfy with 10 episodes.
