Almost four years after a horrific traffic accident that nearly ended his life, Tracy Morgan returns to star in the new television series, The Last O.G, alongside Tiffany Haddish, as well as executive producing the series with Jordan Peele.
Morgan was inspired to create the series after his accident and the idea of second chances is the heart and soul behind The Last O.G. In the series, Tray (Tracy Morgan) is an ex-con who is shocked to see just how much the world has changed when he is released from prison for good behaviour after a 15-year stint. Returning to his newly gentrified Brooklyn neighbourhood, he discovers that his former girlfriend, Shay (Tiffany Haddish), has married an affable, successful white man (Ryan Gaul) who is helping raise the twins (Taylor Mosby and Dante Hoagland) Tray never knew existed. Wanting nothing more than to connect with his kids, but having neither the money to support them nor himself, Tray falls back on the skills he learned in prison to make ends meet while treading unfamiliar territory.
The series is executive produced by Tracy Morgan, Jordan Peele, Eric Tannenbaum, Kim Tannenbaum, Joel Zadak, and John Carcieri.
Starring Tracy Morgan (30 Rock), Tiffany Haddish (Girls Trip), Taylor Mosby (Criminal Minds), Dante Hoagland (Emelie), Ryan Gaul (Superstore), Cedric the Entertainer (The Soul Man) and Allen Maldonado (Black-ish).
The Last O.G. premieres April 3rd 10.30/9.30c on TBS.
