Get ready for a spin-off to ABC’s The Goldbergs as it heads to the 90’s to follow Lainey Lewis as she becomes a teacher at the school she went to as a teenager.
Schooled, set in 1990-something, follows the hilarious faculty of William Penn Academy, led by new music teacher and WP graduate Lainey Lewis (AJ Michalka), Principal Glascott (Tim Meadows), Coach Mellor (Bryan Callen) and young, enthusiastic super-teacher Charlie Brown, or CB for short (Brett Dier). Despite their eccentricities and crazy personal lives, these teachers are heroes to their students.
“Every teacher on (The Goldbergs) is based on a real teacher — Mellor, the character Tim Meadows plays and the drama teacher,” Goldberg told Deadline in 2017.
The series stars AJ Michalka (The Goldbergs), Tim Meadows (The Goldbergs), Bryan Callen (The Goldbergs), and Brett Dier (Jane The Virgin).
