Apple TV+’s new series Dickinson is set in the 19th century and it will audaciously explore the constraints of society, gender and family from the perspective of rebellious young poet Emily Dickinson.
The series stars Hailee Steinfeld (Pitch Perfect 2) as Emily Dickinson, Jane Krakowski (30 Rock) as Mrs. Dickinson, Toby Huss (Halt and Catch Fire) as Edward Dickinson, Anna Baryshnikov (Manchester By The Sea) as Lavinia Dickinson, Ella Hunt (Anna and the Apocalypse) as Sue Gilbert, and Adrian Blake Enscoe as Austin Dickinson. The series has been created by Alena Smith — a writer and producer, known for The Affair and The Bad Guys. She also executive produced the series along with David Gordon Green, Michael Sugar, Ashley Zalta, Alex Goldstone, and Darlene Hunt.
Dickinson premieres November 1st on Apple TV+ with 10 episodes and it has been reportedly been picked up for a second season.
