Based on Anne Rice’s best-selling trilogy, Lives of the Mayfair Witches, the 8-episode series focuses on an intuitive young neurosurgeon, Rowan, who discovers that she is the unlikely heir to a family of witches. As she grapples with her newfound powers, she must contend with a sinister presence that has haunted her family for generations.
The series stars Alexandra Daddario (White Lotus, Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief) as Dr. Rowan Fielding, Harry Hamlin (Clash of the Titans, Mad Men) as Cortland Mayfair, Tongayi Chirisa (iZombie) as Ciprien Grieve, Jack Huston (Boardwalk Empire, Ben-Hur) as Lasher, Annabeth Gish (Mystic Pizza) as Deirdre Mayfair, Rowan’s estranged mother, Beth Grant (The Mindy Project) as Carlotta Mayfair, Erica Gimpel (Fame, Veronica Mars) as Ellie Mayfair, and Jen Richards (Mrs Fletcher) as Jojo.
Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches will release on January 8, 2023. It will air on AMC and AMC+, along with BBC AMERICA, IFC, SundanceTV and WEtv.
