Beats Netflix Movie 2019

Black-ish star Anthony Anderson is headed to Netflix with Beats, a Chicago-set film that is described as the “ultimate ode to Chicago’s South Side”.

Beats is an urban coming of age drama where the paths of a young musical prodigy (Khalil Everage) with borderline agoraphobia, and a former music manager (Anthony Anderson) who fell from grace, collide on Chicago’s South Side, and the unlikely duo must come together to free each other from the demons of their past. Beats is the ultimate ode to Chicago and its hip hop scene, as it illustrates the beating pulse at the heart of the South Side.

Starring Khalil Everage (Cobra Kai), Anthony Anderson (Black-ish), Uzo Aduba (Orange Is The New Black), Paul Walter Hauser (I, Tonya), and Emayatzy Corinealdi (The Red Line). Beats comes from writer Miles Orion Feldsott (Deadly Class) and director Chris Robinson, who has directed music videos for Jay-Z & Beyonce, Alicia Keys, Prince, and more.

Beats hits Netflix internationally on June 19th.
