I just hosted my first MMP and I was so nervous and stressed the entire time but it went great! Lots of the guests came up to me to ask when I’m doing the next one! I used a kit I found online but I ended up changing things I didn’t think fit the group involved so, for the next one, I am going to try to write it myself. I figure I should do something with this creative writing BA that is collecting dust.

I have done six total murder mysteries, scripted, non scripted, inside, outside. I am this year writing my own murder mystery I feel with the help of AI and my creativity I should come up with something that is between scripted and non-scripted another words having some things to say some actions to do and yet not have to read word for word. I have come up with 20 colorful characters with interesting Back stories that make everyone chuckle! Now the hard part putting all the pieces together! I have until October the 4th because that’s when its planned. I am truly excited to see the results! If this mystery is a success which I believe it will be I will be selling not only this mystery but all the other mystery theme ideas that I have floating around in my head LOL. Here’s the comments that I hear from my Mysteries that I put on, newbies didn’t quite understand what they were supposed to do. Also each round was about 15 minutes long and then the rest of the time everybody was just kind of play acting. I want non-stop action. One commented that he would have liked to have had some words or script to read out about his character or others. So that’s why I have decided to write my own murder mystery that includes both freestyle and some action and scripted parts!!

Trying to run a murder mystery party can be very stressful especially when it’s your first time to do so, and you’re a complete newbie when it comes to handling the event! However, there’s nothing to worry about since a murder mystery party event has cue cards you can rely on–as well as willing party guests who would be playing along with the entire scheme of things. If I had a chance to run one of these events by myself I would find myself always consulting the cards just to check if I’ve been doing everything right or no.
