Break out the tissues now because watching the first trailer for Wonder will certainly bring a tear to your eye!
Based on the New York Times bestselling novel of the same name written by R.J. Palacio, the film tells the inspiring and heartwarming story of August Pullman. Born with facial differences that, up until now, have prevented him from going to a mainstream school, Auggie becomes the most unlikely of heroes when he enters the local fifth grade. As his family, his new classmates, and the larger community all struggle to find their compassion and acceptance, Auggie’s extraordinary journey will unite them all and prove you can’t blend in when you were born to stand out.
The film has been directed by Stephen Chbosky, who wrote and directed the popular novel and film, The Perks of Being A Wallflower, so we can be certain the adaption has been left in more than capable hands. Joining Chbosky is Steve Conrad who has written the screenplay based on the three novels by R.J. Palacio, Wonder, Auggie & Me, and 365 Days of Wonder.
Starring Jacob Tremblay (Room), Julia Roberts (Pretty Woman), Owen Wilson (Zoolander), Daveed Diggs (Black-ish), Izabela Vidovic (The Fosters) and Mandy Patinkin (Homeland).
Wonder will be in theatres this November.
