Is anyone else ‘confused’ with when Olive was born? There are references to Olive being 14 in 1915, having had 3 children by the times she was 28, children born in 1935, 37, 39 and 1941, and then being 50 when her last child is born in 1950. I was constantly flipping back to find dates. I enjoyed the novel as I have with all of the previous books. My favourite being The Nurses War

Just picked this up to read after visiting the Thousand Islands for the first time this summer (I live outside of Syracuse), and it was so fun to see all of the familiar references —including Morning House, itself, which is clearly inspired by Boldt Castle!

我是一个中国读者，我从11岁开始就在读永泊镇，说实话因为当时关于第四本的消息一直没有，我甚至以为不会再出，但是当我得知出了第四本之后，我十分开心，于是，虽然读英文原著对我有极大的挑战，但我还是决定买来英文原著看，看不懂的地方得一张一张翻译，真的好困难，但是看到主角的奇妙冒险时，我就觉得很开心，今年我才读完了第四本，非常期待后面的作品。也希望作者要好好注意身体，我非常期待下一本，我相信第五本会比第四本更好（第四本也很好看）毕竟杰西卡•汤森的书总是会给我惊喜

I really enjoyed this author feature because it gave such a fun glimpse into the creativity behind building new worlds and characters. The mix of sci-fi, fantasy, and language exploration makes the writing process sound like a giant puzzle where every piece has to fit. I also love that writers can turn random ideas into entire universes while the rest of us are still trying to name our Wi-Fi. What part of worldbuilding do you find the most exciting?
